the top contenders for the republican presidential nomination were in new hampshire today. earances by donald trump and ron desantis, as we debuted the first fox news power rankings of the campaign season. the numbers are extremely accurate for the 2022 midterms. mark meredith is in hollis, new hampshire with the latest. >> our brand-new power rankings shows so many of the states that determine the outcome in 2020 plate a bigger role in 2024. there are going to be at least 12 competitive states in the presidential race. it is states like arizona, pennsylvania, and michigan. we narrow it down to the five considered to be true toss-ups. both parties are going to be investing time and money heavily into the states to keep them or flip them. ron desantis was in new hampshire speaking with voters. he told voters he was the only one who could win over independent voters. ron desantis trails president trump but he says he is ready and willing to go on the attack against trump. >> he is promising a lot. he is running on the same thing he ran on in 2016 and did not bring to fruition.
