nicole, good morning. >> reporter: investigation is still underway this morning. police got the call around 3:00 to the unit block of 53rd street, to this home you see behind me. the 57 year-old resident inside took police in three mask and hood is struggled with her a six two-year old woman who was then found by, authorities on floor of the name and covered for bruises. she was pronounced dead at the scene. that 57 year-old was taken to the hospital on university of pennsylvania, treated for minor bruising. police admit that the story is questionable but they have to investigate this but right now it is all they have to go on. that account for the 57 year-old roommate who said three men with masks and hoodies tried to get in the home and we have no signs of forced entry. police are trying to figure out what went on here if, in fact, there was a robbery as a motive or not. they said it didn't appear this home was ransack at all. we did speak to a neighbor. she said she cannot imagine that any within would want to harm that six two-year old woman found dead inside.
