it was about manuel fernandez, a teacher at the lamb public charter school in northeast d.c.e pleaded guilty months ago to sexually abusing at least six elementary age students, boys and girls. prosecutors told the judge today the abuse happened over three years including in the school basement itself. they said he molested the children during games of hide and seek he staged. dozens of parents filled the courtroom to listen, some to speak, many says through tears, it was horrific and traumatic to the young boys and girls. the fernandez asked the judge for leniency. he gave the longest possible sentence under the plea deal he cut, which means eight years in prison, pat and jim. >> this is just unthinkable for anybody. whags e >> the school had a lot to say. they sent a letter to the parents and entire community this week. they said the crimes were deeply troubling and trauma advertising and they apologized formally to the students and their families and they said they are dismissing three top administrators at the school. including the principal and the executive director bec
