we've still got the easterly across the northern isles, still staying very cold here.temperatures already lower than they are at the moment. those temperatures will dip as the week wears on, but it does stay unsettled. so more wet and windy weather to come in the forecast. tonight at ten, after a winter of industrial action, hopes of a pay deal for thousands of staff with nhs england. after months of strike action by nurses, ambulance workers and others, the new offer involves a one—off payment and a 5% pay rise. it is a reasonable offer. it certainly isn't all that we would have asked for.
