pamela gardner has more about that tonight. >> reporter: for the past week, we've been anticipating hurricane hermine now. we talked with the hurricane research scientists before the experience about flying over hermine last night. sending it off the plane so that the forecasters and people who run forecast models have better information about what the hurricane is doing so they can make better forecasts. it can be very easy flights. they can be no turbulence at all. there could be pretty bumpy flights or feel like you are riding a roller coaster. some of the biggest bumps are like when you are a kid and you sit at the top of a sea saw and then someone on the drops you to the bottom. >> she says the storm reforms after it moves over florida next week, and she could be a part of that group that could go back to investigate it further. >> this is so important. people wonder how computer models work. they get better with good information put in at the start. pamela, thanks so much. >> thanks so much. >>> people in florida's hurricane zone are being told to expect more than a foot of rain and may

pamela gardner has a first peek at the forecast. >> cooler temperatures are settling in here and running in the 50s or 40s for now. 57-degrees in boston and 42 in keene and down to 50 degrees in worcester. and 41 is degrees for our friends in taunton it's a beautiful starry night and getting some rereports from some folks and it's just a gorgeous fall night for much colder compared to this time yesterday. and almost all spots except for here in boston this actually tying where we were at this point yesterday. but 20 degrees colder in taunton and 12 degrees colder in chatham. you'll want a heavy coat heading out the door perhaps tomorrow morning or at least something. low temperatures will be in the 40s and with some areas in the mid- to upper 30s. and that's where we have a frost advisory. national weather service has it out for central and northern parts of worcester county but parts of massachusetts. mid pros expected there from -- 30s expected there from 2:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. sunday. a gusty wind combined with the low humidity and the extremely dry conditions will make for an elevate
