pollock pines getting heavy down pours, a lot of people very thankful for this rain and they are going to get a good three to four hours of steadily rainfall in the area, so hopefully this will help firefighters knock that fire down. this is what you need to help out a situation like that, and right on cue, showers on the way, with some heavier bouts of rain on the way throughout the next hour or so. here in the bay area, whole other scenario to talk about. we received much needed rainfall to the tune of an inch up in the north bay, over three-quarters in the south bay, and even in san jose, a half inch of rain on the floor from one system is really, really great for us. we have a little bit more on the way for the rest of the day, even tracking some thunderstorms firing off just offshore, i think a lot of this activity is going to move to the north of the bay area. still fair game for a thunderstorm or two throughout the day today. we'll talk more about that and our next chance for rain in my next report. it's looking good. obviously, we're still on the drought, this is not a drought
