really, we're in this middle territory here in port richmond. because i talked to some people on twitter down in south jersey, washington township area, who said well it is all rain right here. we heard from alicia out in west reading. she said it is all snow there. we're in this middle grounds where it is this icy mess of snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain, and it is changing by the minute here. and my face can feel it. it is changing because i'm getting snacked in the face with it, it is awful. that being said, like i told you guys earlier, what i'm most looking forward to is going around northeast philly, finding some people, once everyone gets out, starts shoveling, and really eat it, like eating, because that's my thing. i like get out there. i like to test the diners. i like to test the travel with different kind of breakfast treats, that's my goal for today. we have trang up in allentown, we've got alicia who is in west reading. they'll dot real reporting. i'm just going to eat and probably drink a lot of coffee. you guys have a problem wit

her first stop is port richmond. jan, how sit looking there. >> reporter: jim and rahel, good morning. getting out to the live location using highways that was clear. smooth sailing. it is when you hit side streets that you will run into a problem. we are coming to you live from the cross section of ann and miller street and it is a great view what the side streets will look like. this one has been plowed, but even if they are plowed, lot of times you will just see this snow pack that is now kind of a block of ice because that wet, heavy snow has now frozen solid. this is a side street right here, ann street not looking too much better we do see pavement from time to time but very slippery out here: on the sidewalks, much of the same. some areas are clear, but others, have not been touched at all and then you have some icey patches. be aware of both streets, sidewalks are going to be rock solid at some point and if you were not smart enough to clear off your car yesterday this is what you'll have to come out to this

we started out in port richmond a half an hour ago at ann and miller street. we are seeing the same thing that we did there main arteries looking good. that is frankford avenue. you can see blacktop. it is when you go on these side streets like pike street that you will run into a problem. you will to have significantly slow down. a plow has been through this street, but it is not, you don't see blacktop it is just packed with snow, and ice at this point, because that wet, heavy snow has now frozen, solid, so you will to have slow down a lot. coming out to our live location the hide ways are looking great. they almost look dry. so many salt has been put down and wind is dried. frankford avenue has glaze, and then side streets like pike street here are pretty much iced over. sidewalks, much of the same thing hit or miss every where, some sidewalks have been cleared, some sidewalks have been cleared a little bit and then they come to a deadened and others haven't been touched at all. as people wake up and head to work and as kid in philadelphia, wake up and star
