rtd let us know early in the 4:00 a.m. hour that severe delays need to be anticipated because of operational difficulties along the "a" line between union station and d.i.a. in both we have more details from d.i.a. it's a 15-to-30 minute delay that needs to be anticipated. apparently its issue was the crossing activation or the operational issues they're trying to repair has to do with where the trains cross so we're working to learn more right now and have a call in to rtd. they're updating on twitter and we are as well. ?newsmornings or #9news to keep updated. unfortunately, the university of colorado "a" lines are not the only problem around the city. we have a 270 backup here leading up to york street because of a major crash that was previously in the left lane that now has caused a 30-minute wait for folks trying to get across commerce city. you can see big backups south and eastbound, 24 minutes. the issue should get resolved and the alternate i- i-70 but there are no major accidents except 270. we'll talk about the
