we're getting light rain in san rafael this morning. to come. it's going to get heavier as we mover throughout the weekend. this will be a popular place for people to stop by today. this is san rafael fire station number two, where they have sand, they have bags they have a shovel all ready to go for anyone who wanteds to protect their homes with flooding from the sandbags. apparently a lot of people have come by to get them this week. the battalion chief told me the pile was bigger a couple days ago. we did get a preview of what's to come. most areas picked up less than an inch of rain yesterday, more coming this weekend. the forecast is for several inches of rain to come down in most areas. some areas will get more rain. in just a couple of days than they did during all of last year: with so much rain falling in such a short period of time, san rafael firefighters tell me they are gearing up for the possibility of flooding and mud slides. >> anytime we have with mud voids, we want to make sure that pumping stations, telephone building
