meteorologist sandhya patel is here with the latest on our forecast. >> hi, ama.e to tell you wf showers developing. let's check it out. it's a start. we'll show you what's going on. really, it's moving and changing very quickly right now. you will notice that there are a few returns showing up. very light returns. around collinsville, rio vista, light showers reported. look what's showing up. it's coming from the central valley headed towards tracy and eventually, it will move northwest. livermore may get that wet weather very soon. the monterrey radar, you're picking up a few drops in the monterrey, big sur area. lightning strikes earlier. you'll see them as i take you back a few hours. meanwhile, seeing strong thunderstorms. monterrey has seen some thunderstorm activity as well. a significant weather advisory has been posted for north central los angeles county for another ten more minutes. that's because some of those thunderstorms may produce heavy rain, bring hail and cause some debris flows in recently burned areas. a live look from the tower camera. this i

. -- sandhya patel. every drop is welcome. >> absolutely. earlier in the day today, the showers came in sooner than expected. but it's okay. let me show you what it looks like right now. people on social media are talking about how i received a few hundredths. i got a little bit to water my garden. but people in the north bay are saying, what about us? guess what's showing up near our radar site? we're starting to see the atmosphere moistening up around santa rosa. none of this is actually reaching the ground yet, but soon enough you will see your share that you've been waiting for so patiently. you do see some moisture just southwest of monterey, and that will continue to feed in off the ocean. that's what ear waiting for. we will see more showers developing in the next few hours. if you take a look at how much we've received, nothing in the north bay to five huhths -- hundredths. and in half moon pay, three hundredths. we will be counting additional rainfall and i'll be back to let you know what your afternoon and morning is looking like.

let's go now to sandhya patel for a look at where hurricane patricia is right now. >> yeah, that storm has moved inland. let's show you live doppler 7hd and you will notice the hurricane does not have the same shape it did earlier. as it hits up against the mountainous terrain, it is actually tearing up the hurricane. a category 5 hurricane as it made landfall and it was actually packing maximum sustained winds. the strongest measured hurricane ever in the western hemisphere. it weakened to a category two. winds of 100 miles an hour. it is moving to the north, northeast and it is expecting to weaken to a tropical storm. here is what the moisture is doing. this picture was posted by one of my followers on facebook. a friend sent this to him and she posted it from mexico. streets turned into rivers and they will be seeing more damage like that. isolated amounts of rainfall up to 20 inches in the area. hopefully if you have friends and family there they stay safe. so far what i'm hearing from people on social media is they are safe. larry? >> thank you, sandhya. >>> here is a look at the

let's go now to sandhya patel for a look at where hurricane patricia is right now. >> yeah, that storm has moved inland. let's show you live doppler 7hd and you will notice the hurricane does not have the same shape it did earlier. as it hits up against the mountainous terrain, it is actually tearing up the hurricane. a category 5 hurricane as it made landfall and it was actually packing maximum sustained winds. the strongest measured hurricane ever in the western hemisphere. it weakened to a category two. winds of 100 miles an hour. it is moving to the north, northeast and it is expecting to weaken to a tropical storm. here is what the moisture is doing. this picture was posted by one of my followers on facebook. a friend sent this to him and she posted it from mexico. streets turned into rivers and they will be seeing more damage like that. isolated amounts of rainfall up to 20 inches in the area. hopefully if you have friends and family there they stay safe. so far what i'm hearing from people on social media is they are safe. larry? >> thank you, sandhya. >>> here is a look at the
