this is scott walker's third gubernatorial race in the last four years. he ran against tom barrett in 2010 to win the governor's seat the first time. then walker defeated barrett again during the 2012 recall election. this time, walker is running against a different democratic candidate, her name is mary burke and right now they're running neck and neck. the latest marquette university poll actually puts burke a point ahead of walker, wile within the margin of error. in may, the same poll had walker leading. it's a toss-up, folks. burke and walker are virtually tied when it comes to the independent vote. burke has 44% to walker's 45. burke's first elected office was to the madison school board in 2012. and prior to that, she was appointed to wisconsin's commerce secretary. part of the reason burke got to commerce secretary job was because she helped run her father's business, the trek bicycle corporation. the bike company generates about $800 million in sales every year. burke was the company's strategic planner and then she ran european operations. walker
