st. luke's hospital in cedar rapids says right now it has 57 nursing positions that are open. it says a number of those openings are because older nurses are retiring. at the same time, the hospital system's patients are growing older and requiring more care. the hospital's director of acute adult services says it also needs more nurses to help facilitate changes in the entire healthcare experience.
