school -- mi tree this is an elementary school in stafford county. we have been seeing a couple of things, roads that still look pretty icy. some secondary roads, neighborhood roads that still have that sheen, that glare to them. schools were canceled in spotsylvania county. the other thing we have been noticing more of in stafford county is the roads with the white residue left over from all the salt and brine that crews used to pretreat and also to stay on top of the snow that was falling over the weekend. stafford county schools decided to open two hours late today, as well as frederick, fredericksburg city schools. it was the schools in spotsylvania today that were canceled. just because there are still too many patches of ice on the secondary roads, and some of the sidewalks. a lot of children use those sidewalks to walk to their bus stops to walk to school. better safe than sorry. tomorrow might be a different story. we understand that vdot crews are very busy. over the past 72 hours, they were on 12-hour shifts trying to stay on top of the snow
