we have an update from the d.o.t. that as soon as the temperature goes up, they'll get back on the road and give their crews a break a little bit later on. you were saying 2 degrees can make a difference. don: it really does. 24 degrees is the effective temperature for salt here. and depending on the type of salt or what they mix it with, salt doesn't always work on ice, when it gets colder. so last night, we got around to 24. as we get up to 27 degrees, that will kick back in. barbara: we are at 24 right now. don: tonight, we'll see temperatures even colder. i think we'll go to 22. that means the salt won't do any good. i think we'll see a big re-freeze tonight and won't be surprised to see a lot of closings tomorrow. power back on before. don: yeah, and i think this afternoon actually they should. we'll get up around to 30, 31. and we'll talk about that in just a moment. the winter storm warning is in effect until 6:00. not necessarily because of anything falling although believe it or not, we have reports of freezin
