this happened at the 1700 block of weeks avenue. eyewitness news reporter dray clark is live now in the mount hope section. >> reporter: good morning, lori. investigators are still here on the scene inside the apartment where the fire happened going over the fire damage in hopes of finding a cause. police still have not released the name of the elderly man who lived inside the apartment and later died. the first call for help came mount hope section of the bronx. when firefighters arrived and rushed into the apartment, there was heavy smoke but light flames. inside the apartment they found the elderly man on the living room floor with burns, and they say he was in full cardiac arrest. despite efforts to save his life that man was pronounced dead at bronx lebanon hospital. firefighters were able to contain the fire to that first floor apartment. however, a next door neighbor did suffer smoke inhalation, but that neighbor is expected to be okay. as for a cause for the fire, that of course remains under investigation. we're live in the bronx this morn
