i'm team 4 meteorologist tom kierein, a look at what neighborhoods could be wet this weekend. >>> and a new problem for metro. it has people asking questions this morning. >>> i'm molette green in the alexandria section of fairfax county where police are searching for a hit and run driver who mowed down an elderly man last night it happened in this area of franconia road near brooklyn avenue. not far from edison high school. it happened just before 11:00 p.m. we are about two lights down from the big intersection of franconia and south van dorn. the 69-year-old was crossing and stopped in the unprotected median to wait for passing traffic. that's when he was hit. the driver left the scene. the injured man died. >> i think this intersection really -- there's a lot of things to be improved on as far as, you know, the police over here directing traffic to just people -- aggressive drivers. >> now, fairfax county police don't have much to go on. all they know is that the striking vehicle may have been a white van, possibly white. not even exactly sure on the color, or some sort of box tru
