early commute comes through the tri valley. that's where we had the early problems and then we have another in san jose which continues to be an issue. we take you to 680 northbound. overnight about 2:00 in the morning when we had the mist, drizzle and slicker roadways, we have a jackknifed big rig that was hauling a load of propane. the fuel spill is a problem blocking all northbound lanes. folks approaching mission have been getting off and taking niles canyon road. it continues to build. we show more and more back up through the windy area. be careful. maybe slicker roadways and it's darker although the sun is coming up. that is an issue for the southbound commute direction as well. if you take 880, it's a much easier route. 101 is building up where a crash is reportedly blocking two right lanes. that may be an issue. overall the south bay looks all right. approaching the bay bridge we have slowing for the upper east shore freeway. not a major issue, but you see the crowd at the berkley crowd, but we do see moment. back to y

let's go through that hour-by-hour outlook for the tri-valley and dublin. we'll be at of 3 degre63 degree. 82 at noon and as it clears out we're at 88 degrees. it will be hot in some areas. not as warm in san jose, so if you're stepping out, maybe going to diridon station, expect some low 60s. at noon we're seeing those temperatures at about 81 degrees. we'll only go up a few more degrees from there. we'll reach 90 in livermore today. 91 in concord. napa up to 86 degrees, and 76 in oakland. in santa rosa, expect a high of 85 degrees today. we're going to feel the sti stickiness, and models hinting at a chance of a few lightning strikes in some of our higher elevations. we'll be watching out for that. other than the slight chance of some lightning, we are going to see just a few passing clouds and a very nice day with a wide range in temperatures from the coast to the inland areas. going to the a's game tonight enjoy it. it's going to be breezy with upper 60s and we'll be at 66 degrees at 8:00. at 9:00, 65 degrees. our seven-day forecast after today the humi

everything is looking good in the south bay, the tri-valley and areas around hayward, but we also haddowned power line that was over highway 24, going westbound, and so it was really tying up traffic, but now we are seeing some recovery here, they have picked up that power pole. now all lanes are open on highway 24, going westbound, but we are still seeing a little bit of a backup there, just as you approach lafayette, going westbound on highway 24. so we'll continue to monitor that. we've also had a crash on i-280, going northbound, daly city, and that is causing a lot of people to slow down in that area, just north of daly city. so we'll continue to monitor that commute, headed from daly city in to san francisco. the san mateo bridge is seeing a smooth flow of traffic this morning, and a look at those east bay drive times from westbound 80 from highway 4 to the bay bridge, it is looking at about 14 minutes westbound 580, we're seeing that commute taking about 15 minutes, and then northbound 880 at 238 to the bay bridge taking about 13 minutes at this point. so it's good that we are

looking at much of the bay from the south bay, san francisco included, it extends to the tri valley andlta. we're dealing with high heat today. we start out in brentwood in the upper 60s and then going into the low 80s by 11:00 today. we look at our micro climate and go hour by hour. at 9:00 we're feeling low to mid 70s and going into the rest of the day we're at 90s in dan vil and concord. we go up and there will be spots hitting 100 degrees. we'll see that in concord as well as fairfield. in freemont we're up to 93. san francisco reaching into the mid 80s. tonight we'll still have those breezy winds. the winds will calm down. our temperatures will start to drop off as well. we have very dry air here. we're seeing the driest conditions with the wait vapor now over southern california. we're getting some gusty winds also. this highlights theas danger for today. that's those hills to north and the sierra. for us in the south bay as well as the east bay we're seeing winds come over the hills today with the fire danger still high, but in the as high as in the north bay. going from this hig

headed out for a jog around the tri-valley, expect temperatures in the upper 50s. we are going to see another really nice day, in fact slightly cooler than it was yesterday, and 1:00 today we're up to 78 degrees in the tri-valley, so we'll talk more about this coming up. mike, it's still slow for 101. >> highway 101 through palo alto headed up in toward menlo park, we showed you the earlier remainder after the traffic break. we still see some flashing lights here underneath the willow overcrossing. the deal is a little farther north, slow lane is blocked just about marsh and the on-ramp there. i showed you two incidents, there was slowing on bayfront expressway. reports of a separate crash past the last of the facebook compound headed toward 1k0 1 and the on-ramp as you pass by the park entrance. you may have a crash that blocks some of your roadway there and north 101 slows toward marsh because of that crash blocking the slow lane. that is an issue for folks traveling through or north of east palo alto and menlo park. san mateo moves smoothly. south bay no build.
