tell me about tulsi gabbard and rfk jr.e your colleagues on the republican side thinking here? >> i hope they are listening carefully to what both nominees said. i got to talk to rfk today under oath at the hearing, i thought he did spectacularly. he was honest, direct and forthright. as for tulsi gabbard, here is her real sin in the eyes of so many of the washington establishment of both parties. person is that she challenge the surveillance state. she told the truth about the government spying on americans and about the abuses. she went out there and was honest about it and for that she is getting absolutely roasted and persecuted. that is the real issue here. and i hope that republicans will look at both of these individuals and say these are truth tellers, these are people who will disrupt the status quo and they will get their agencies, the government back to serving the american people and telling us the truth, would not be refreshing? >> jesse: do republican colleagues understand what will happen if they bow down tul

so what role would tulsi gabbard play?orating relationship there. >> well, i think what's concerning is she also might not know the role that she plays and what that how important that role is. i mean, you are the convening authority when it comes to intelligence and pulling information from different agencies and then briefing the president, members of the national security council, and of course, the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, information that is collected and parsed through and analyzed by people that have been doing this for a very long time and have that experience. if you can't brief the president on some of the basic issues, or you have an affiliation or a side, for instance, with russia and believe that russia is not the aggressor here when it comes to ukraine, that is incredibly disturbing, not just to our allies, but i think that should send a real shiver through the intelligence community, and that is that that is what we saw on display yesterday. >> i will say, despite the fact that we're having con

i know tom cotton came out and was supportive of tulsi gabbard ahead of the hearing, which seemed noteworthy. there also seems to be some interaction between if tulsi gets through, then kennedy has more issues. what is your understanding of the landscape right now? >> well, that's one of those vibe things, you know, i mean, most presidents lose 1 or 2, but nobody loses more than one or more than two nominees. matt gaetz has already gone. so there is some sense that history dictates that trump won't lose more than two. i don't know if that bears any resemblance to vote counting. i think tulsi gabbard's hearing was a little rough. i mean, you have to be able to say edward snowden is a traitor to win over the hawks and hawk party. i think that was a mistake on her part. i think rfk jr.'s hearing to me was the most entertaining, but it was a big mistake by democrats elizabeth warren and bernie sanders made him more confirmable. there's nobody in the republican who republicans dislike more than elizabeth warren, and it's for all the right reasons. but she should have gone with rfk and said, you k
