look at that red bull's-eye for ukiah. that is one of the showers and potential thunderstorms that be will be rotated around in this area of low pressure. in terms of location, it really doesn't look likely that those showers get farther south than the mendocino county line. it will be close. i don't have rain in the forecast there today. there will be focused too far north. if we color in the map to show you where it will rain, you can see the totals going up there. ukiah three question tears of an inch of saying maybe 100 of an inch of rain south of there. so, that is sunday. with the excitement of a few thunderstorms to the north and plenty tf high clouds around and cool, here is monday, memorial day. we will be in the upper 50s at the beaches. plenty of clouds. the city, if you got plans to be in san francisco, around 60. if you want warmer temperatures than that, no problem. this is the general take away from most inland locations, upper 60s on monday and more sunshine on monday than today. in the seven-day forecast,

ukiah maybe gets 0.2 inches of rain. but we don't see anything further south than that. what we get will be the influence of the clouds. watch sunday. we see the marine layer build in. but then all day tomorrow, there are the other clouds coming from that area of low pressure. so even when we get rid of the marine layer in the morning, everybody will still have at least a partly cloudy day. high clouds, some blown off from thunderstorms. that's the way sunday is going to go. it won't be as blue sky as monday will be. watch what happens on monday for memorial day. we start with the marine layer in the morning. but into the late morning and early afternoon, the marine layer melts back to the beaches. there's no longer low pressure threatening storms to the north, so we get more blue sky in the day. it's not going to be sunny at the beach at memorial day. temperatures in the 50s there and gray. but inland, even though it will be below average. let me compare it. today's daytime highs a little cooler than today. and just to put perspective on this, where are these numbers in

that in ukiah, oakland, now over an inch of rainfall, more than half an inch of rain in dublin and sanwe're nearing a quarter inch in san jose. the seven-day forecast is up at the bottom of the screen as we take a look at the storm system moving through so slowly. we're not expecting much in the way of thunderstorms but showers coming through between today and tomorrow. most of the rain is pretty light, just a few hundredths of an inch of rain but still pockets of heavier rain moving through. and that will continue to pass by as well. otherwise it's cloudy. off-and-on showers will continue with light rain and temperatures heading only up to 60 degrees with a breezy wind and cooling down again for tonight. there could be some pockets of heavy rain, but we're expecting more breaks in the activity. we could wake up to wet roads with a new round of rain coming in. most of the day is looking dry and friday is looking dry until a new storm system comes in on saturday and that could be right in time for saturday morning. we'll be watching that. temperatures only reaching about 62 degrees toda

for the north bay, headed up for 80 in ukiah, sonoma will stay in the upper 60s this afternoon. breezy winds and cool temperatures near the coastline. so we're looking at all of the cloud cover that's been with us and every now and then we get little disturbances caught up in the coastal fog. that's what happened on sunday that brought in those scattered showers. but for today we're looking at still some slowly clearing skies and that's been keeping temperatures down. for napa, we've been counting up the days. we're at 108 days of below average temperatures. that's 73% of this year so far that has been cooler than what we normally see. and we're going to add another day today. the setup has been this area of low pressure off the coast and also extremely warm temperatures, so the pattern has kind of flipped compared to what we normally see with a strong area of high pressure farther to the north. we've been talking about wildfires over canada. for us, we're getting a lot of moisture and that cool ocean air that continues. eventually that's going to slowly change and allow our tem

and north bay temperatures reaching 73 in novato and 77 in ukiah.e saw that over the weekend, it continued yesterday. take a look at this loop from the past 24 hours. it was all quiet and suddenly these storms started developing and you see all of those cloud-to-ground lightning strikes. it looks like this continues into the weekend. if you do have plans in the area, you want to make sure you're able to get inside quickly in case those storms do develop. we're going to see a slight warming trend as high pressure builds and we are also still looking at some fairly mild weather, not seeing an extreme spike in temperatures, but a little warmer and possibly that opportunity to head out to the pools now that they're open this weekend, and temperatures will reach into the mid-80s for warmer spots inland. then back down for the beginning of next week. it won't be as warm in san francisco. we're going from low 60s today to upper 60s for the weekend. >>> cinthia, are you still looking at a trouble spot in richmond? >> we sure are. this is westbound 80 right
