blackwell it improves 2 x on trading but 5-x on inference. amd's chip is geared entirely towards inference. nvidia had toe respond to that the other key point of blackwell it drives down the total cost of ownership. by doing so it creates motivation for the big tech companies replace the hopper architecture, h-100 that created gains this year with the bracwell. they have to create that motivation. they're driving down total cost of ownership. all of those pieces together is creating excitement now at gtc. charles: i've seen bubbling up this last couple weeks is this energy component. between this -- i remember at least 25, 25 years ago i remember reading about just how much energy a google search back then took, just google anything. and of course now a.i., is that going to be a central issue? which one of these, you know, these chips can actually hold back the -- because you wonder where all the power will come from between that and all the other things we've got going on? >> that's the crux of the issue right now. that is a great question.

the blackwell platform actually is a series of chips named blackwell that they've putting together thatips, put the new chips in and actually connect them all together like lego blocks which means you can create one super gpu with smaller gpus along the way, it and acts like one chip which is an innovation in this market overall a. and that's just the chip market. we're not talking about the software market that has yet to be built, and that's really where we're going to see these gains, really the partnerships that were announced at nvidia. those were important ones to look at. stuart: would you say that this is a very glowing, rosy future that was painted for nvidia yesterday? >> i think jensen is painted a picture that was very glowing, very rosy. i think investors are still digesting what that means, but the bottom line is their chips are faster, better and. cheaper. they've got a software platform. it's four times faster in training and 25% lower in energy use with which is incredible. and there are no competitors in sight that can actually make this happen. stuart: you're a believ

they are calling it blackwell, and it comes with the blackwell bh-200 gpu, the graphics processing unit, the latest one we've been waiting to hear about. it's going to be four times the training performance of the h-100. 25 times lower in energy use and 30 times the inferencing power, compared to the previous hopper architecture, or the h-100 chip that we've all talked about constantly. inferencing is a big driver. the fact they're mentioning that, we know just in the last earnings call, inferencing contributed data center revenue. the fact this chip is going to be even stronger with inferencing allows nvidia to maintain that lead. the blackwell will also be manufactured by tsmc and set to be launched later this year. you have amazon, google, microsoft and oracle, all selling access to this play chip through their cloud services, as well. we haven't received costs on this chip. usually nvidia doesn't reveal pricing. but the previous older chip was between $2,500 to $40,000 per chip, and you need a lot of them to build your entire a.i. system. so, it could cost up to $200,000. that was t

pairing earlier losses as investors seem to shrug off the launch of its new blackwell gpu.ur next guest, too, is not convinced the chip will boost sales enough for the company to maintain growth. his price target of $620 is the lowest on the street and more than 30% below nvidia's current price. let's welcome senior software analyst at d.a. davidson. gill, welcome. good to have you with us. why do you think this stock could go interest where it is today in the high 800s down to 620. what's the problem? >> well, off lot of cognitive dissidence around nvidia. this year they'll have a fantastic year. you talk to their customers, they have five big customers that represent more than two thirds of their revenue, they'll buy a lot more gpus this year. this year will be great. our numbers for 2026, however, are lower than they are for this year. and if revenue peaks this year or next, it starts declining from there, the stock won't be able to hold on to these multiples. so these multiples right now make alot of sense if you're just looking at this year and where that trajectory is

so, if you were to make blackwell for nvidia, how long before your manufacturing facilities would be that at scale? >> well, what you see behind us here would be the sub-two-nanometers or 18-a, so two nodes more advanced than what they're using today for that, so that makes it faster, smaller, cheaper, more performance capabilities. and this will start coming online next year in 2025 for manufacturing. so, we would hope to be manufacturing the most advanced a.i. chips for all of them, for intel's products, but for amd and nvidia and apple and amazon and google. we want all of those chips to be manufactured in america, taking advantage of the r&d that's done here, uniquely in america, as well. and that's why today is such a thrilling moment. >> i always got to ask about gaudy 3. any new news on when that accelerator chip, competing with the others, is going to be ready. >> coming very soon. very healthy. we're bringing it up in the labs, and the systems are getting bigger that we're running it on. very healthy. >> going to take a pause here and hear more from you on cnbc on "overtime,
