not uncommon to see lightning storms here in the florida peninsula. but the problem, this is going to be slow moving and it will be dropping a lot of rainfall. some areas the next 72 hours could see about 200 millimeters of rain. pooling up with that water especially in low-lying areas along the roads. don't try to drive through it. very well you could get stuck up in it. as far as temperatures, miami with a high of 28. oklahoma city at 29. much of the desert southwest, you've just been baking in the heat. los angeles at 23. but a little farther inland, getting into the high 20s. about 10 to 15 degrees above average for this time of year out here. but let's take a look at europe. well, this tells the picture out here. much, much clearer skies for the most part. we do have the remnants of the upper-level low which has just been cut off and sitting here in and across central and eastern europe. still expecting about 40 millimeters, maybe up to 60 millimeters of rainfall and some isolated storms. but the good news is that the worst of it looks like it's

tropical storm andrea came onshore yesterday down around the big bend of florida and moved over the peninsulaflorida off to the south carolina and georgia coast last night. the winds with the storm are really not going to cause any issues whatsoever. we show you a picture live this morning from wrightsville beach. the good news once the center passes you, the weather condoleezza clears out in a hurry. the storm is centered over the top of charleston, south carolina. we do have a tornado watch up for eastern north carolina. pretty much from the raleigh durham area and the storm itself is a big rain soaker up i-95 all day and raining from boston to new york to philly and not associated with andrea. the rain from andrea moves in later today. you notice that by saturday afternoon this storm is starting to exit maine and heading up into nova scotia. rainfall totals 3 to 4 inches and boston and harvard and providence. it's a slow commute to work today in d.c. and the way home should be even worse. you're watching "morning joe," brewed by starbucks. i'm the next american success story. working for a
