funnel clouds locally. 65 miles per hour straight line wind gusts though in topton pennsylvania in berks county. mertztown a 60 miles per hour gust. penny size hail in skippack pennsylvania. alburtis pennsylvania got trees and wires down from a gusty thunderstorm. the closest funnel cloud was in schuylkill county outside of our area. as i had mentioned really do appreciate all of you taking those storms seriously and getting inside when they come through. that is going to be the way to play these storms the rest of the warm weather season. future tracker six showing you that we by 11 or 12 o'clock we'll probably see the redevelopment of a few more thunderstorms today. they won't be as widespread as what they were in the northern and western suburbs yesterday butter where they hit they could produce drenching downpours and perhaps gusty winds. looks like most of these are getting off the map as we get into the late afternoon hours and early evening hours. early evening there could be just a couple of more pop-up storms later off to the north and then not only does storm activity die down later t

you see it across 176 into berks county as well. understorm warning here until 5:45 this afternoon. there you see off to our west on the edge of the screen in lancaster county lot of lightning. the red coloring that shows us very heavy rain and wind possibly near 60 miles an hour and the potential for hail. now, this whole storm system is moving to the east around 35 miles an hour so limerick you should see it around 5:15. upper providence 5:23. lower providence, 5:33. norristown 5:47. heavy rain a lot of lightning and damaging winds. lightning strikes, about 625 only in the past 15 minutes. you see how far west this whole line extends. it is a severe line of storms bringing damaging winds. lancaster county right now seeing that. also, in maryland we are seeing these storms really starting to come together as they move in this direction. so again, these

parts of pennsylvania a new severe thunderstorm warning issues until 5:45 p.m., southern parts of berks countyncluding chester county and lancaster county as well as northwestern parts of green lane, and royersford, and the main problem is the winds in excessive 60 miles per hour and quarter size hail reported on route 222 west of loyola and heading towards birdsboro and honey brook in the panel path of this particular storm. 120 lightning strikes and near church town at 5:00 and plowville at 5:05 and morgantown at 5:06, very dangerous vivid lightning in this area, and stay indoors until the warning passes. and severe thunderstorm watch for the entire viewing area until 11:00 tonight, a watch means the potential is there for the storms to turn severe, the minute you hear us say a warning that is when severe weather is imminent, when we look at double scan live, this is the leading edge extending to harrisburg and north of hagerstown the most severe part of this line in southeastern pennsylvania and southern new jersey and lehigh valley to the north and trenton, it could slide you south this ev

so here's the tornado watch here counties included in our region including lancaster berks, lehigh, northampton carbon monroe counties in the poconos and central pennsylvania up into new york state as well. notice we have had no watches and warnings for philadelphia, south jersey or delaware at the moment, but as they progress we could see much wases be issued. we will let you know when that happens. timing this out again you can see steady of the storms will move through north and western suburbs around 6:00 p.m. watch what happens later tonight this will turn in a line. once that happens the the risk for tornadoes diminishes and risk for strong straight line wind increases. by 11:00 is when we can see that line coming through city and down the shore after midnight. this may hang around even into early tomorrow morning with a couple showers and thunderstorms around. what to expect? scattered showers strong thunderstorms, downpours hail gusty wind and can't rule out that isolated weak tornado off to the north and west especially. we will have updates throughout the next hour and a half on this

this is berks county and then you bump over into schuylkill county and also near pottsville we've gotiles an hour. this originally did prompt a tornado warning for schuylkill county and also dauphin county about a half hour ago. no longer a tornado threat with this storm but as it's pushing to the east we have about 1 inch size hail close to ping-pong sized hail stones just to the south and west of pottsville and as it slowly works to the east we're watching near hamburg and kutztown and if it holds together that won't be for maybe another 45 minutes to an hour. as we look at a tornado watch it is in effect for lancaster county, berks county, lehigh county, northampton county, up into carbon and monroe counties near the poconos. this just means the possibility that the storms could turn tornadic as they push in, even though the delaware valley right now not within a tornado watch. you're right on the edge and it's something we have to follow and continue to unfold as those storms pass in in the next few hours. it is warm and muggy though, along i-95. 84 trenton, 83 in wilmington. cool

as vivid lightning we'll zoom into this cluster we've been watching moving out of sections of berks countyo lehigh county right now so right to the west of allentown watch out for very heavy rainfall gusty winds the potential for some hail. that has the severe thunderstorm warning on it until about 7:15. so we're watching it as it moves on off to the east at about 20 to 30 miles per hour. also lancaster county now under severe thunderstorm warning until 7:30. the activity well aways away from the philadelphia area, however, it is going to continue moving in our direction over the next several hours. but we have some time to get through because they're moving at about 20 miles per hour. but take a look at ultimate doppler 3d. you can see those cloud tops 50,000 feet. that's high enough to support some hail so the potential is there as we look at the hail tracker for some hail up to the size of 2-inches in diameter we're talking ping-pong sized hail potentially moving through richmond rockland, approaching sections just to the south of allentown moving no lehigh county. as we roll the clock

tornado watch for lancaster county until 8 o'clock. berks northampton county until 10 o'clock. a watch means that conditions are favorable that severe storms could develop, that could spin off an isolated tornado. you don't have to take shelter until a tornado warning is issued and no tornado warnings have been issued as of yet. right now though, it is warm and humid. this will really fuel the storms. philadelphia 84 degrees. allentown the same, 84. wilmington 84. dewpoints in the mid to upper 60's so it's very humid. you'll notice along the shore though a lot cooler with the winds off the ocean temperature in the 60's so as the storms work east of the i-95 corridor they really will begin to break up but a wider view on live double scan showing this is the line of storms a heads of a cold front can and the actual cold front won't be moving through until tomorrow late in the day so that means we do have the risk of more storms the past 15 minutes we've had more than 200 lightning strikes orbited with that line. future tracker showing around 7

we could see some of the thunderstorms in berks county closer to 6:30.o this is something we are watching closely. we have seen in the last hour a few popup storms near milford, stretching down. you can see they are drifting to the south. it's hard to track some of the storms. same for some of the popup showers that are moving into burlington county right now. you will notice they are wakening as soon as they start. as we go into the rest of tonight, closer to 9:00 p.m. that's when we have a better chance to see storms and showers moving into philadelphia. by 10:00, closer to atlantic city then up to montgomery and into lehigh valley. an unsettled night ahead. be careful as you are driving. we could see showers and thunderstorms developing as you head home from plans here. tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. along the shore has the best chance of seeing a wet commute. this is going to be for atlantic city into cape may and toms river. early risers that leave closer to 6:00 a.m. you could find yourself with thunderstorm activity or showers. as we head home from

we are seeing thunderstorms to the west of norristown, south there in malvern and move over in berks county, showers and storms and even, press nothing to fleet wood, allentown, quakertown, green lane. so a lot of the activity tonight has been across upper bucks, northampton montgomery counties, and points to the north and west. we have already seen widespread thunderstorms probably flash flooding and this will be a concern throughout the rest of the overnight hours and throughout the day on monday. so that flash flood watch has been posted, it stays up until 2:00 in the morning. this is for upper bucks northampton, lehigh counties, berks counties and up through poconos. some of these locations have seen in excess of 2 inches of rain in the short amount of time. thises a concern where we have localized flooding. after 2:00 in the morning showers and storms will start to tea crease and intensity but until that time watch out for heavy downpours. if you net is where those thunderstorms are having an impact on our temperature it is 58 degrees in philadelphia rain cooled air moving in allentown

but this is it in berks county. as we look outside sky 6 hd down the shore the sun and clouds mix, warm and humid across the region with clouds and sun and especially up north we'll be on the lookout for thunderstorms building over the next hour or two, 80 in philadelphia and the dew point well above the 60 degree threshold for air. and winds out of the southwest at 14 and like yesterday it's breezy out there allentown 78 and 78 in reading and almost there in trenton and wilmington and 80 in millville and dover. and a little bit cooler down the shore but even at the shore it will feel a little muggy. in terms of storms future tracker 6 right now is placing more action. there is a good chance between now and 6:00, a line of these popping through the farther north you go seeing strong storms be gusty winds and downpours, by the time we get to 6:00 it's not as aggressive of a storm patterns, things not only dry out and clear out, won't that be nice, if you happen to see a storm today they are spotty and any storms prod

watch out berks county, probably in the next half hour to an hour, this is a severe storm.gain it's moving northeast at about 25 miles per hour so look out jackson around 6:34, eventually into the reading area by 7:19. somewhat slow moving storm system. packs a lost rainfall. there's potential for minor flooding in some of the smaller streams and creeks. we had previous storms across cecil county maryland, northern castle county delaware, flood warning remains in effect for some of the smaller streams as they picked up about a inch and a half of rainfall quickly from the storm system. into southern delaware, southern kent county sussex previous storms causing minor flooding. scattered strong to severe thunderstorms, potential for damaging wind gusts. and frequent lightning which we're already seeing with that severe storm in schuylkill county this hour. temperatures very warm. it's hot still. allentown reading 87 degrees, a lot of humidity around. the cool spots are down at the shore but it feels like 90 degrees. we'll keep the threat for more showers and storms for the wor

is there one right here northern lancaster county zooming up toward berks county. we will zoom in on that one and notice that bull's eye of red south of manheim and north of lancaster very heavy rain coming down with that system as well. these storms producing flooding downpours. we have had a fair share it has been a wet june, more than 4-inch's above average so far and we are getting more today. here's flash flood warnings, up to the lehigh valley, severe then are storm watch until effect until 8:00 for the entire region. air is stable down the shore. shore is not included. north and western suburbs have a flash flood watch taking you into the middle of the night. temperatures are rain cooled in the city, we will drop to 72. eighty in millville. eighty-four in dover. these storms will rumble through the next couple of hours and then finally overnight we will see them fizzle out. we will get sun tomorrow. anything we see tomorrow will be very isolated, pop up garden variety thunderstorms and then tracking a system staying to the south but could bring showers down
