and so andrea constand took the weekend stand once again yesterday. over the course of two days, she had had given about b seven hours of testimony. then her mother also took the stand there and what was happening was a cross-examination from the defense side trying to poke holes in andrea constand's story, trying to ask why she had made several phone calls to bill cosby in the days after this alleged assault. and then you also had andrea constand's mother on the witness stand talking about making a phone call to cosby confronting him about what had happened. we spoke with penn medicine expert over there about what this could do to future cases of victims of sexual abuse. >> it could be a totally emotional experience. anxiety, nervousness, fear, anger, guilt, shame. so when someone does decide to come forward with something like this happening to them, it's important it gets treated. >> and later on this morning, this is day four of the trial. we are expect to hear at least in the coming days bill cosby's own words in the form of a deposition that he

andrea constand said on the stand she didn't know ms. jackson.that's enough for the judge to keep that witness off the stand? >> we don't know, but i got to tell you, there's no legitimate good reason or purpose for the spokesman reading the statement during jury deliberations. it doesn't serve a purpose. normally, you would let that come in based on what the letter said for credibility purposes and cross-examination. but we don't know what the judge said on the record ask what's in the transcript about his reasoning for not letting that in. but i have to tell you i think maybe the judge want thes to put a gag order on everybody while the jury deliberates because having these statements read by different representatives while this jury is deliberating, in my view, serves no legit hat purpose whatsoever. >> so you were stunned that his spokesperson did that this afternoon? >> it doesn't serve any purpose. the judge probably made his ruling on the record. he put his reasons on the record. there might be other things we don't know. why do we need to

andrea constand told her mother and the mother called bill cosby and one of those was record recorded. and when the jury came back, she and andrea hugged. and bill cosby did look distressed. he turns 80 and knows it's not over for him, and with another trial coming, another jury and perhaps that jury will go the other way. so, there is hope for the prosecution. the d.a. has said he'll retry the case. but certainly, hope for bill cosby as well who had proclaim proclaimed innocence throughout this two week trial and remains a free man. >> a couple of point. we heard from gloria like you mentioned, she wanted 13 women to testify in the trial and only one did and i'm curious, a lot of folks at home are wondering if the d.a. brings the case again, what's the precedence to make that change? especially if there is a statute of limitations, you know, why would we hear from 13 women in the next case if we weren't able to hear from them in this case. they talked about jury pool, but we also need to hear from other places. >> it's up to the judge and up to pennsylvania law on what would be allow

at 2:00 andrea constand was called to the witness stand and for the first time told her story. the first time he put his hand on her high and the fourth time he tried to undo her parents and she left. on a fifth visit she says he plied her with pills and wine and cosby led me to the couch and i saw two of him. the next recollection was being jolted awake as cosby groped her breast and fondled her inside of her pants. she was unable to tell him to stop or resist him. she woke up later humiliated and confused and left. cosby's lawyers will argue it was entirely consensual. outside of the courtroom one of the dozens of women attacked the cosby defense strategy. >> i'm offended by it and i know his true nature and i was a victim and know many of his victims and i know who they are personally and know their truth. >> monica the cross-examination of of andrea constand started hours ago and it will be long as the lawyers attack her incredible and the insistsies in her previous testimony. >> the da prior decided not to prosecute because he said her evidence was too little at the time.

all those factors were used against andrea constand to undermine her credibility.he idea of victim blaming being a social construct. it in fact is a weapon used by defense and i think fairly so by defense to undercut the prosecution's argument. i have specialized many times in delayed reporting sexual assault cases and the strategy is always trying to figure out and put a seed of doubt in the jurors of minds to say why did this person delay, was there nefarious or ulterior motive and is there a question of credibility. those factors combined i think to put reasonable doubt in the minds of the jurors. remember, each of the three counts listed by sexual assault by unconscious, by use of a drug or other debilitating agent and also without consent, these all stem from the same underlying conduct but they are separately charged and the jurors had to be able to come to a unanimous decision among each of them. what are you seeiyou are seeing number of questions that came in between saying what was reasonable doubt, what does that really mean, that was the biggest clue we
