what is the update for the south bay? >> we have the slowing that is sticking around but i think it's what we usually see -- well, the descriptions from crown prince. overall, you see the green sensors dominating all over the place, and at just about 4:15, we see slowing. that has been the case for basically the last week on the southbound side. you will lose two lanes potentially until 1:00 this afternoon, and know there may be slowing as you head through that area. and a live look shows you the golden gate bridge as well and we have a fog advisory given by chp, and this is an issue if roads are hitting the roads after a couple of months, laura, this will be new for them. >> thank you so much, mike. >>> new overnight, this is in the north bay, a deadly shooting happened at about 9:00 last night in the redwood credit union parking lot. the victim was a man in his late 20s or early 30s found with a gunshot wound to his upper chest. authorities are not saying who he is until they can notify his family. >>> faith and immigran

sunday afternoon is better rain in the south bay. this will be terribly heavy but this is a slow marcher. we will get a decent rain amount from this, particularly in the north bay. that covered sunday, but monday is a little bit different. we don't have that organized line anymore on monday, but what we have are scattered, pop up showers that can appear randomly in the bay area. some could be in the form of et of those that will bring you a brief downpour and possibly small hail, but the chances of that are relatively low for monday. as we look at the rainfall totals on here, here's the rain for tonight in the north bay as we at in the sunday rain, you can see it is bay area wide with have your rain north. we have a little bit of rain sunday in the south bay. by the time we finished we could pick up as much as a half inch of rain and a little bit more in some locations of the north bay. it will clear out pretty quick, and by tuesday we are done before we warm back up. by the end of next week it is like this never happened, sunny and

the onshore flow around the coast and the bay. was cooler along the coast and the bay but we will be heating up again inland. here is a look at the treasure island camera. you can see the low clouds. it 60 in concord, 55 in oakland, livermore is 58, upper 50s in san jose and the 50s in santa rosa. check out the hot temperatures inland. 97 in san jose and cooler in san francisco, upper 60s for that area. we will have more on heat advisory for inland conditions. >>> following some breaking news overnight, a man who shot five people in san jose is on the loose. it happened in the parking lot outside of an apartment complex at williamsport and 24th street. they say a group of people were hanging out outside just before 10:00 when a man walked up and shot five of the men. have been described as non-life- threatening. they are going to be okay. this is west of 101 and police have not yet arrested anyone or have had no good description of the suspect. we are waiting for more information. also, a police chase a led to a motorcycle crash.

we'll start in the east bay. low to mid 50s and fremont 52 and castro valley and 57 in oakland is the mild spot. let's take a look at else where and you can see a little bit of fog between santa rosa and novato and mid to upper 40s in the north bay and low to mid 50s in other neighborhood under a mostly cloudy sky. my activity planner put caution on everything whether you're exercising or hanging around the neighborhood or walking the dog because there is the chance of showers today and otherwise kind of cool to comfortable depending on what you're doing if you're exercising briskly, you'll enjoy the brisk breeze that will keep you from overheating. here is a look at our east bay valleys. mid to upper highs and 70s from 1:00 through 5:00 under mostly cloudy conditions and stray shower possible. south bay about the same. 59 to 9:00 and increasing clouds and the stray shower and least likely to receive rain behind and right ahead of the east bay valleys which is also not a very wet place today. for the peninsula, we

well the bay area's first spare the air day for 2020 is happening today, the bay area air quality management district has issued an alert for smog. yes, they say that the air quality all across the bay area is expected to be unhealthy for memorial day and of course this is because of light winds combined with the warm temperatures reaching the triple digits for the inland spots today in addition to the expected vehicle exhaust or more cars being out there on the road so keep that in mind. well, thousands of fresh seafood and gear worth up to million was lost in the san francisco pier, 45 warehouse fire. this is a look at the damage that was left behind check it out this is from saturday morning's fire. one firefighter was hurt is recovering. firefighters say they will stay there on the scene today just to make sure that all the hot spots around and there of course continuing their investigation as to what caused that fire. the san francisco community fishing association says with down to the scrap season expected to begin in mid november. boat owners will need to raise a million dollars for

you can see clouds in the sky as we look across the bay bridge and the east bay. temperatures are in the low to mid 50s. concord is 56, oakland is 57 and also san francisco. livermore is 54 and it is 51 for santa rosa. here is high def doppler. it is quiet for the most part. the green across parts of the south are ground clutter but you can see offshore where we are tracking more showers just off the coast to our left for two our west. through our day, we're looking at a cloudy start this morning in spots, patchy fog for parts of the north bay and a spotty shower is a possibility especially for the north bay. we have drier, warmer weather ahead on friday and saturday and then tracking stronger storm systems through the end of the weekend. here is what you can expect. a few more showers are possible. especially for the north bay. and through friday into most of saturday, we are going to see more sunshine and a brief warm- up with the ridge of high pressure and if you look, that pressure system is going to be moving in by the end of the weekend into early next week.
