they are doing plowing and salting operations now on the atlantic city brigantine connector and the atlanticity expressway and we've been hearing in the last hour about speed prestrictions onç the garden state parkway. jessica has been talking about that because of salting operations there. they're getting ready to get the jersey shore prepared for the snow that is starting to arrive. we're starting to see the surface of the boardwalk kind of have that glazey look to it. it's starting to change from the brown wood and you start to see more of the white as this precipitation starts to stick on to the surface here and we're starting to see more of that come every few minutes or so. so we've been talking with a couple people out on the boardwalk right now. at least this isn't like it was a couple weeks ago when we had the blizzard. the jersey shore as bill and glenn have been talking about that we're expecting to see most snowfall amounts in this general area. star the roadways when we were coming in, wasn't too bad at this point but once you start getting the snowfall, you have to be careful.

it will be rain initially in atlantic city. as we push up to 9:00 a.m. it's possible as the system pulls away from us, it wraps wet snow into areas close to trenton, ocean county and burlington and atlantic county. we're only expecting small accumulations out of that. tomorrow, a second system arrives this one has winter storm watch that kicks in tonight and in through tuesday night. in this case we're looking at snow coming through. it looks like we'll get accumulation. might be a little bit tonight, but especially through the day today and tomorrow night. in addition a coastal flood watch is in effect minor flooding because of the onshore flow from the pasting coastal storm. minor tonight and tomorrow, with the persistent onshore flow we'll bump up to moderate. we have a blustery windy blowing it's not precipitating anywhere other than down by the shore. 43 degrees by 3:00 p.m. which is where you would expect to be in february. it is going to be windy out and later this afternoon and tonight a couple of flurries and snow showers start to build back in.

half-mile, atlantic city, and that snow is coming down fairly hard. the temperatures, of course, will be critical here and it will be sticking in philadelphia, wilmington and northeast philly, trenton, mount holly and even millville at 23 degrees and we have a long way to go to get to 30 before we start seeing this knot stick to untreated surfaces. only in the teens to the north and west, but watch what happens as we go through the day today. in philadelphia, 1:00, 27 and 4:00 already, 32. so we may be seeing a bit of a mixture of it at 4:00 and it could be starting to melt on the treated surfaces. by 7:00 we're above freezing and even the side roads should be improving. so this is one of those cases where it should be warmer as the night goes on and here is the hour by hour and you can see the temperature again, up to freezing by 5:00 and we have freezing after that and more on what to expect where you are and more on when the change is coming on the seven-day forecast in just a few minutes. >>> we'll take you to south jersey where the plows are read
