the bay bridge too. it is cool and it is cloudy out there for us, especially in these early morning hours. it will get breezier into the afternoon and a little bit drizzly along our coastline. we can see just a little bit of rain in the forecast offshore as we head into the next 24 hours in areas like half moon bay, stretching over into pacifica. but for the rest of us, it will be a little bit more dry into the afternoon hours and a little bit sunnier for our friends down in the santa clara valley. with 70s in the forecast today, here's that marine layer slowly pulling back exposing us to that sunshine throughout the santa clara valley. and off into the east bay. around 2:00. we'll continue to see more sunshine until around 7:00, as that marine layer starts to fill its way back into the bay. at that time, we're also going to get gustier conditions too. we kicked off this morning nice and mild, but those wind speeds today could get anywhere up to around 25 to 35mph from bodega bay, down into san francisco

bay. not for all, but for many, especially around the golden gate bridge. over to the bay bridge.land. berkeley. sunny for all inland and getting hotter. san rafael, oakland, livermore, san jose up we go 94, 85, 192 on steve's forecast highs a little bit of an east or northeast breeze. not strong, but the direction is northerly and we all know what that means this time of year. thankfully, it's not strong, otherwise it wouldn't be any fog at all and we'd be even warmer. but 46 petaluma i know penngrove is also 46 there. 5060s for some, but it won't take long to warm up, although in the mountains lots of 30s. alturas is in there. winnemucca, ely and then 3435 for truckee and south lake tahoe. a little low will meander down there for a couple of days. the high, though, says i'm in charge here. so once the fog lifts burns off, it won't help too many here, it's just too shallow. but for a couple of hours it's thickest you can find. usually it's a winter like fog, but this time it's summer. the hot inland temps will be with us for two days and it looks like a big drop on wednesday. sup

we're actually expecting 70s today near concord and fremont and 60s near oakland. 60s across the bay bridge over into san francisco into this afternoon. here's our daytime highs up in the north bay now too. we're talking about 60s if the forecast near santa rosa and novato where yesterday, we were in the 90s. so you are going to walk outside today and think to yourself, wait. is this actually fall? and then i'm going to let you know e that no, it's not because we'regoing to warm up back into the 90s in the inland areas. this is a quick little moving system that pushes in from offshore brings in some gustier conditions and we'll notice that on shore breeze all throughout this afternoon. anywhere up to around 20, 25-mile-per-hour winds are expected near san francisco. and down into the santa clara valley, it gets a little breezy too. actually start off with those numbers. taking a look behind me as we head into the afternoon hours, we notice about 15-mile-per-hour winds this morning extending into this afternoon areas like fairfield get pretty breezy all the way over into concord and fremont.

then that same sideshow took over the eastern span of the bay bridge last night. one truck involved tail whipped a crowd of people who were nearby watching. the sideshow lasted about 20 minutes, taking over the bridge before the crowds dispersed to san francisco. now, where police are looking for the man who stabbed a walgreens employee in san francisco. it happened early friday morning at the store on montgomery street at pine in the city's financial district. police say a man was trying to steal when an employee confronted him. that's when the man stabbed the worker. the employee was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. police are looking at surveillance video to identify the attacker. burning man ended last week. it was supposed to be an adventure for the thousands of people there, including one san francisco woman. but for her, it turned into a big fall that sent her to the hospital. today in the bay's marianne favro has her story. rachel ginger told me she's grateful that she survived the fall and is expected to make a full recovery. she also says

and a hot day the moment you cross the bay bridge over into the east bay or even along the 101 down intolara valley too with upper 90s this afternoon near san jose. yesterday san jose was sitting at 81 degrees. that is a big jump and we're going to continue to see this very similar trend with light winds moving in from offshore. throughout the afternoon hours. the winds are changing right now. and the other thing too i want to mention, look at all the orange around me. the national weather service issued a heat advisory that starts this morning at 11:00 a.m. and extend through the afternoon hours today and tomorrow and lasting into our thursday forecast too as we take a look at the heat risk ma'am just a reminder. that our weather is very, very change -- ever changing in our forecast here in the bay area. those inland spots still heat up a lot especially during the summer months. daytime highs today like i mentioned, sitting in the upper 90s and triple digit weather and we see that same trend into wednesday and thursday forecast as we turn the page. areas like livermore. if you have outd
