a live look at the area around the bend ben franklin parkway. made in america music festival back in philly this weekend. tens of thousands of people will be in town for two days of music and that means big crowds and road closures. welcome to "nbc 10 news today" on this friday. i'm chris cato and then we have hurricane cristobal creating that risk of rip currents down the shore. you see the satellite image here of cristobal very far away but still churning up the surf. we expect that rip current risk to wind down over the next few days. at the indian river inland at delaware, surfers enjoyed some big waves this week. the rip currents have been dangerous for some swimmers. lifeguards had to make dozens of rescues at the shores over the past few days. we have team coverage of what to expect over the weekend with jesse gary checking out made in america. katy zachry an eye on the roads. let's begin with meteorologist bill henley with a look at the forecast. bill? >> we're starting off much cooler this morning. temperatures are down 15 degrees compa

last-minute preparations going on and traffic detours for made in america series of concerts on the ben franklin parkway this weekend. that's where we find nbc 10's jesse gary live on the parkway. now, it's a lot cheaper to show up today instead of tomorrow so break it down for us. what will it cost to get in once this concert starts? >> reporter: i've been looking online and i can tell i there are tickets available but it will cost you more than a pretty penny. some sites are charging upwards of $145 for a one-day ticket and a two-day pass for almost $200. hundreds of thousands of people have already shelled out big bucks to see acts ranging from kanye west to kings of leon. gates open at noon on saturday with first performers taking the stage at 1:00 p.m. >> all those ticket purchasers should be having fun and once you're in just like three years ago and this is our third year, once you're in, you're in. >> reporter: there are plans to get you back home safely at the conclusion of each concert day for free. coming up in the next 30 minutes, we'll have that story. jesse gary, nbc 10 news. >> nbc10.com

katy zachry is live along the ben franklin parkway. she's not wearing a taney t-shirt yet. these kids came up short in williamsport but they are standing tall in their hometown today. >> reporter: a lot of fanfare surrounding the taney dragons. philadelphia puts on parades for professional teams that have won championships. the team did capture our hearts and this is a way to thank them for representing philadelphia so well in the little legal world series. they made it to the u.s. championship semifinal round becoming the third best little league team in the nation. today's parade begins at 2:00 p.m. at market and 20th street. it will make its way to city hall and south on broad street. it's a rolling parade meaning the city is not technically shutting down streets. they'll stay at each stop for 30 minutes. according to organizers, we hear there's no evovertime cost accrd from this and no extra security and no significant cost to the city. the city is soliciting donations from several large organizations and companies. the team is also going to be honored at tonight's phil
