northwest winds are coming across bwi marshall. a bit of a southerly flow around cumberland and oakland. but the temperatures are not really reflecting that. we are going to stay, even with this rain in the average range of our temperatures. normal high now is 66. normal overnight low is about 44. a this batch of rain moves on through, it stays to our south. and we're going to be watching our next rain maker coming from the west. that's going to get here into the weekend. unfortunately, we're talking the timing of saturday and into sunday. but this moves out of here. temperatures rebound pretty nicely, back into the 70-degree range. and this front comes through, by saturday into sunday. could bring us another chance of rain. we'll keep you posted. some of that rain may not make it over the mountains. but we will continue to keep you posted as it gets closer. sun sets today at 7:47. and temperatures getting down to about 45 degrees, with occasional rain and drizzle. tomorrow, getting up to around 70 degrees. turning pleasant and sun

we are at 48 now at bwi after topping out above 60. it was a sun filed sky and windy conditions shaking the trees. on the chesapeake white caps on the water. you see them calming down a bit as winds let up in the afternoon. this is another direction from the bay bridge marina. you can see it lets up a little bit. it was windy at times. temperatures mild earlier, but dropping sharply under a clear sky. nothing on maryland's most powerful radar. this is our main concern. you have time to run cloth over the exposed plants if you planted early, that is, and again it is -- the highest concern will be carroll county west. we can get a deep freeze tomorrow. the rest of northeast and central maryland is a frost advisory. not enough to kill too many plants. winds light now. they were over 30 today. the air extremely dry. when you have dry ire and the wind calming down, perfect recipe for a rapid drop in temperature, we see it from frederick to york. we have more of a freeze warning. central maryland will take a while to get from the 50s to 32.
