(catherine)first of all, president trump is standing by his tweet that the obama administration wiretapped him at trump tower last year.... he told fox news tonight that "wiretap covers a lot of different things"....and that he expects some "very interesting items coming to the forefront' over the next 2 weeks. but in a very striking contradiction - the chairman of the house intelligence committee - a california republican - held a news conference today.... he says he's seen no indication of the president's claim on twitter - that former president obama wiretapped his phones during the 2016 presidential campaign. we don't have any evidence that that took place in fact i don't think there was an actual tap of trump tower. i'm not shocked. we have a president who time and time again says things with no evidence behind them what makes the comments today by representative nunes so striking -- he's one ofthe president's strongest supporters.
