nancy chen is in rio. this morning she's taking us on a tour of the best the city has to offer. >> christa: she's really an excellent tour guide. she shows us why rio is considered one of the culture centers of south america. >> nancy: we're based here in the olympic park, but before these olympic games got started, de janeiro is one of the cultural centers of south america. and i got a chance to explore some of the city's most iconic sites. first up, christ the redeemer, one of the seven new wonders of the world, topping a mountain 2,300 feet high over the city. to get there, you have to take a train that cuts through the forest, providing some jaw-dropping views along the way. then it's a steep climb to the top. 200 steps later and we're finally here. the view is supposed to be one of the best in the city. mother nature had a different idea for our visit. getting up here isn't easy, but it's worth it. christ the redeemer is the largest art deco statue in the world, an icon not only for rio, but for the c
