"today in the bay's" christie smith live by the crash scene with an update on the investigation. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. well, busy van ness is back open. six lanes shut down overnight because of the collision that witnesses say they couldn't believe. i did just get off the phone with san francisco police and they say everyone involved in the collision has been accounted for, but the question now is trying to figure out exactly which of the people they are talking with is the driver. i wanted to show you what's left behind here, and that is a signal light on the ground. that's where one of the vehicles involved ended up. this happened around 1:00 in the morning at van ness and geary. it it basically shut the street down for hours while the investigation went on. and as paramedics arrived. witnesses say, a smaller car hit an suv and that suv rolled several times. described as flying through the air. inside that smaller car, the witness says that two women and a man got out, didn't stop, didn't stick around, but started to run away from the scene. >> so that's when
