. >> deiah, what a scene this is. yes, we have been talking to police on scene. this happened at the bad monkey bar on 7th avenue here in ybor city. that car is just about to get removed from the front of the bar, and that search at this hour is still on for the driver, but after seeing surveillance video from this bar, police are ve this black nissan altima into the front door. the video is telling us something else, too. police said that it shows the driver apparently taking aim at a person who was standing in front of bad monkey bar hitting them and knocking them back into the glass. you see the glass is shattered, that front door has some pretty serious damage as well. that person somehow escaped with only minor injuries. it was a fight outside of this bar right after closing time two people involved in that fight are in police custody, and we understand that those two people know who the driver is, another big help to police. the car is a rental. the sergeant on team tells me he has officers all over ybor right now looking for whoever was driving this car, a

>> reporter: they would, deiah. it's estimated adding seat belts to a current fleet like the buses here would cost about $7,000 each, however, following the tragic crash in tennessee, parents right here and across the country say definitely be worth the cost. check out the dramatic video we got from the group safe guard for kids. it shows what would happen during a roll over crash when kids have on seat belts and without in tennessee case, it's believed seat belts could have possibly saved lives. we spoke to one parent whose son was on the hillsborough county bus that crashed last year this tennessee scene brings back tough memories. and i really can't even imagine. i do think of our situation, and i do feel terrible for them. >> reporter: and according to the florida statute, school buses purchased after december 31, 2000 are required to have seat belts, but it doesn't say anything about enforcement or making sure the students wear them. parents said more needs to be done to ensure the students are safe on reportin

good morning, i'm deiah riley. >> and i'm dan shaffer. we'll start off with a check on the forecast. ivan cabrera is back. >> in fact, we're looking at more of what we saw yesterday, just not as widespread. we're talking about the low clouds and fog. zephyrhills down to 3. that's okay. it's foggy but it' pasco and western hernando where we have lower visibility. that's the trouble area this morning as far as the roads are concerned. a lot of clouds around and that's kept our temperatures from falling all that much. low to mid-60s w. that head start, we'll jump about 10 degrees. that would be about it. a lot of cloud cover, some sprinkles on to the north not amounting to much. that will be the case today. look at the cloud cover. you see the extent of it on the northern side well up into georgia. it's going to take the entire have plenty of clouds around with temperatures out of the 60s and into the mid-70s. about 71 by your sunset. a big cooldown heading into tonight. we'll drop into the 40s and 50s across much of the area. we'll talk abo

. >> reporter: that's right, deiah. atthis morning. that wrong-way driver is expected to be okay as well. now investigators are left to figure out exactly what happened at this intersection. >> we were here at the intersection of east kennedy and hyde park avenue not long after the crash. the damage clear, the officer involved doing better after being rushed to tampa general injured. air bags on both vehicles did deploy. investigators telling us the officer was traveling eastbound on kennedy heading into downtown when the wrong-way driver entered his path of travel northbound from the south hyde park avenue. that's when the two vehicles collided. south hyde park avenue is clearly marked as a one-way street. this morning investigators still trying to determine why that driver was coming down the wrong way. at this point they have not told us if alcohol was a factor in this crash. possibly help out in this case, the cameras right here at this intersection. >> driver rachel bater telling us this morning she spotted drivers making the same

. >> and i'm deiah riley. >>> authorities are on the scene of a crash at lundson, and we have a crew on the way. >>> this is timothy bargeron and he wandered away from his home yesterday. if you see him, call police. >>> a group of young people are facing the theft of 46 cars in most cases, the owners left the keys in the vehicles, and deputies arrested 14 people in all. these are pictures of some of the adults that were arrested. most of the suspects are teenagers the average age is 20 years a old. the suspects stole 46 unlocked cars, usually at night. deputies said the thefts happened mostly around the bloomingdale area. they face 50 charges including grand theft. three minors have been charged with misdemeanors, and deputies have recovered 41 of the 46 stolen cars. bonded out of jail on dui charges, and now he has 30 days to turn himself back in to the county. >>> a florida deputy lost his life in the line of duty near jacksonville. the deputy was killed yesterday running across the road chasing a a man. tv stations in jacksonville reporting the man has been arrested. he was being
