derrick ward out there at the scene to show us what's going on. derrick? >> reporter: yeah, we're looking at the outer loop of the beltway just as it crosses under allen town road. take a look at the scene. we have a single car. from here it appears to be an unmarked car, but it is definitely off of the beltway. off of the roadway on the other side of the guardrail into the bushes. we're told this crash involved a maryland state trooper and a vehicle which did not stop. we don't have any lookout at this point or any description of that alleged striking vehicle, but we're told that the trooper is going to be okay. now, you are losing one lane here to emergency vehicles which is effectively two lanes because of that move-over law in maryland. if you can move over adjacent to the emergency lane, you're supposed to do that. at this point, no slowup, no injuries. only thing is a lookout, a description if there is one available that struck this vehicle which is apparently a maryland state trooper's vehicle. we'll have more on this as it becomes available. we're
