do that. i do think that the mayor's office is coming from a good place. i office is trying to approach this in a way that leads to as many jobs being created. as we have heard here, and the mayor's office itself acknowledges, the number of jobs should not be the only focus. it is the quality of the jobs that are created. and the as important as the small business community is in making public policy in san francisco, there are many other stakeholders have to be at the table. certainly workers, but beyond that, it is not just jobs. there are number of issues connected to jobs that have to be taken into account. health care is an important issue. it is directly connected to a job. does that mean matter should go before the health commission? that is a consideration. if you are looking at working conditions, we passed unanimously wage theft legislation and yet, that remains a very important and serious problem in san francisco. i do not know that we have everything in place that we need to to fu

what do we do? we say to younger workers we are going to tax you more and give benefits to high income seniors who have paid into social security, or are we going to make you pay more, slow down the economy, hurt the economy, and take more resources out of you? i have a hard time seeing how that is fact -- out that is fair. franklin roosevelt would not have seen that as fair. we need to look at changing that. there is a whole bunch of ways to do that brigid there are a lot of ways you can structure it so higher income seniors -- another thing -- dependent benefits. we have benefits that go to children of parents who rabbi. absolutely legitimate. a lot of those children, though, also get benefits if the mother or father -- in both cases the father -- turn 65. the child of a 65-year-old gets benefits. most of the 65-year-old dance i know usually are not hurting for cash. -- that's by no usually are not hurting for cash. -- dads i know usually are not hurting for cash. there are some things we can do.

you do not have money to spend. you want to be out with your friends. what you do? you look for a restaurant to hang out in all my. it is a cool place. it is a central family place, because there are not a lot of places for people to go who are under 21. we want kids in the city. we need places for them to go. on a friday night, teenagers would love to go to an establishment like this. i think it is right. the gentleman who plays pool described the place he goes to as family-oriented. if the place is not serving alcohol, they would not have to restrict the people that went into that place. not to mention that people admitted in the audience that there are a lot of children in that neighborhood. it seems there would be a need for places for young people, positive places for young people to hang out after dark. when i was growing up, people hung out in fields and got drunk because there was no place to go. i do not think you want to see kids drinking. i was lucky that i did not choose to drink, but a lot of kids did, cause there was nothing to do. they would wait for
