it's nice and mild, currently 63 degrees, winds are out of the east, northeast at 9 miles an hour. check out these highs around the area today. 63 in islip, one of the coolest temps but 64 for laguardia. newark, jfk and central park. it was a nice mild day to have had by all, tons of sunshine, just a great day to get out and do whatever you want to do outside. that puts us a full 5 degrees above the norm. haven't done that in a while consistently. we did that today. very nice. take a look at your vortex satellite and radar. you can see the impact of high pressure. there's not a lot to look at, a few high thin clouds. that's pretty much it. low pressure well offshore, huge area of high pressure really dominating. things for us will continue to stay dry and pretty mild over the next couple of days. so for tonight, the only thing we need to be concerned with in certain locations, chilly temperatures. it's clear and cool tonight, 46 in the city, but 30s as we head to some of the suburbs. so as a result we do have some frost advisories that are in effect. you can see all the areas here

it also to the south this whole thing is moving to the northeast the line itself is moving from west to east, the storms within this line moving to the northeast so if we track the line itself, coatesville you can expect by 5:27, phoenixville 5:45 and westchester closer to 5:50. so these storms will be moving toward the i-95 corridor and eventually into the philadelphia area. a little bit farther down to the south to the west of baltimore we still have more showers and storms trying to develop. there, we'll be watching that as we go through the rest of the evening. right near heller town in the lehigh valley across 78, we're seeing the heavy rain richland, upper bucks couldn't and we also have heavy showers here but the most severe with the strongest winds that's in lancaster county soon into chester and parts of berks county. that's what we have now. we expect these to continue to hold on to their strength as we go through the rest of this evening. so we'll be watching those moving through the major interstates here soon from wilmington to trenton. look at thech things, 80 in philadelphia.
