fema normally sets up these recovery centers when a disaster happens. and this is the case here at the pasadena city college, as you can see here behind me, families are still trickling in as the evening hours are moving in. they're trying to get as much information as possible to get back on their feet. and i have to tell you, the resource center here, it is a great tool for these families because they have not just local but state agencies here offering so much help. we're talking about assistance for housing, for food, for gas, for their vehicles. now, this is great help for people with and without insurance. but fema says filing a claim with the insurance company will help move this process fast. can get a little overwhelming. trying to navigate through all of the business side of what's going on while we're trying to manage our mental health. we met tiffany lewis and her mother, carolyn, on wednesday as they were trying to rebuild their lives after they say they lost everything they had in altadena in the eaton fire. our home was destroyed totally
