katie marzullo joins us live from the hayward police department with the latest information. >> reporteri just talked with a sergeant inside. he tells me that he can confirm that the victim of the shooting was the business owner. that bisque the jewelry boutique on tennison road they are not releasing his name they say he has a large family and not all family members have been notified of his death was around 3:15 yesterday inside the store police say they only found the victim. they immediately tried lifesaving efforts but say he was pronounced dead at the scene. police have identified employees who were there earlier they say there's a gap of time and no eyewitnesses. more clues could come courtesy of video investigators don't know what they have. >> at this time we are still looking at various surveillance video to see what we can learn it is too early to tell. >> reporter: inside the store and outside? >> yes:ñ. >>> good morning i'm katie marzullo in for kristen sze. >>> i'm eric thomas. we have breaking news from stanford university. police are telling residents to make sure doors and windows are locked and stay in while officers look for a domestic violence suspect who escaped kiss did. terry mcsweeney is live on the campus with the latest. -- >> reporter: this is where he escaped from 2:00 this morning this is a stand ford police station where a man by the name of scott foster, late 30s, white male was taken arrested for suspicion of domestic violence. somehow, we don't have details on this, he got away with the handcuffs still on and he's on the loose right now. take a look at pictures we have of the police that all over this campus right now setting up checkpoints here and there, moving check points not only campus police, palo alto, menlo park police and sheriffs' vehicles. he was taken into custody 1:30 how he got away we don't know. he's described as 5'8, 200 pounds, shaved head, sores on his arms. we have information that he has a history of arrests for drugs

katie marzullo, abc7 news. >>> county health officials lifted shelter in place order before midnight that doesn't mean all neighbors are free and clear of health-related concerns from the smoke. sue thompson continues our live team coverage from the hospital in richmond. >> reporter: that thick black smoke from the refinery fire made a lot of people sick. so many that the hospitals are reporting more than 250 people had to go seek medical attention last night for a lot of respiratory breathing problems, sore throats. one of those hospitals where a patient showed up was here. many hospitals had to call in extra staff last night. they say that was in order to handle so many patients showing up with problems. they say today they will be ready to go again, in case more patients come in with those health-related issues. those patients, many of them were having trouble with eye irritation, sore throats, trouble breathing, because of the air situation. the other scare was shelter in place order prompted one hospital to have to close off air circulation from outside and then begin air monito

>>> good morning thanks for joining us i'm katie marzullo in for eric thomas. >>> and i'm kristen sze on this august 13th, on this monday. hundreds of fires are taking advantage of the nighttime temperatures to try to gain ground on two wildfires burning north of napa in lake county one community evacuated a portion of a state highway is closed. amy hollyfield is live at the calfire station in calistoga with the latest. >> reporter: firefighters here are monitoring the situation. they tell me the progress overnight has been steady. there are about three to four hundred firefighters working on this fire. this station here in calistoga has sent two units to help. units are coming from around the state to battle this one. there are two major fires burning, one is huge the wye fire has burned about 5,000 acres threatening spring valley, more than 800 people live there and have all been told to evacuate. the fire has destroyed one building and others are being threatened. this is about 15 miles from the town of clearlake. people there tell us they had just minutes to decide what to grab an

i'm eric thomas. >> katie: i'm katie marzullo. francisco police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another critically injured. terry mcsweeney is live at san francisco's general hospital. what is the latest? >> latest we have is someone fighting for his life here at san francisco general hospital. another person is dead and it all ties in what could be a gang war here in san francisco. take a look at some pictures from lat night's shooting. it happened around 10:00 on san bruno avenue. two people standing in front of a building, two men in their 20s opened fire and ran to a waiting vehicle and took off. description of the vehicle is not much, a white car, four doors. one person in critical, another person dead as a result of that shooting. the other shooting, let's take a look at monday's shooting. this is what happened in broad daylight. two people were shot in visitacion valley, perhaps a mile or so from last night's shooting on san bruno avenue. both victims from monday, known gang members, gangs pliamd for

katie marzullo is live at the refinery with more. >> reporter: officials and residents both, everybodyssure on chevron this morning. as you mentioned the controlled burn still burning here behind us. that to burn off residual chemicals keep them from hitting the ground, accumulating or reigniting. there is plenty of talk about fining chevron. residents are yelling. take a listen. some 700 people showed up, shouting down the refinery ceo as he tried to apologize for the fire. county health officials were trying to explain the warning system that wasn't met with much reception either. many saying they did not get that shelter in place call if they did they got it late, in some case cast hours late. others are concerned for their health, the health of their kids, grandkids, animals, even their crops. one man stood up for chevron. >> this was just a bunch of jargon. >> tell them about the good stuff how your kids go to school and get the opportunities they get. they give us money, without chevron in richmond, we would be just like vallejo, broke! >> reporter: we know the epa and other stat
