near the metro area, mid 40s as you see that area to bellaire to the low to mid 50s and over to kent island, 53. the south and southwest wind is pretty much uniform over the state and winds near washington d.c. and 12 near oakland and the higher winds, but a nice breeze out there. very cold air is way up to the north and east, tapping boo the great lakes and seeing the snow around new england, but the high pressure is building and letting this warm summer to stay with us. the next cold front is try and on saturday and sunday, no moisture with that. the next chance of rain is on wednesday. with that, in this pattern. the next high tide, the winds on the bay from the southwest. look at the high, it is 59 and sunny, not as cool as yesterday and yesterday was nice. the cloudy skies and then looking at 56 in the afternoon and mild, you will not need the jacket for the playoff game on sunday if it stays like this. >> it will not stay like this! things tough, some slick spots and lowered visibility southern anne arundel, p&g, back through kent islando drive with care in these areas, u.s. 50 definitely take your time. take a look at annapolis. we saw the snow begin to come down, see a couple of bursts of snow here. you can get a better view on the ground in davidsonville in anne arundel as our christmas tree gets covered up with the snow later in the evening. take a lock at one more -- look at one more camera. you see the visibility kind of getting much worse. 34 bwi, but realize some spots have gone to freezing or colder, 3 easton, 32 winchester. downtown is 33 or 33. we are at 40. a lot of the stuff was melting on contact. it's not that the roads are that bad but slick spots. you see the snow showers, where it's one mile visibility in baltimore, easton and take a look from west to east. you can see this could be a quick mover getting out of here. we've got clearing coming out of the west. as skies clear, temperatures fall, still watching out for the chance for icy spots to occur overnight, even wet areas could freeze up. the good

the route 50 bridge is a headache on kent island as you pass over towards east ton and st -- easton and st. michael. it's not kind that will come down points south of us and the district. let's show you some of our hd abc2 weather bug cameras. it gets much more significant as you go closer into d.c., coming down here, kind of tough to see at times. that's one of the bigger headaches. alexandria, you can see the snow coming down in washington. so a headache. i want to make sure. visibility getting reduced towards bwi. some places coming down and that cloud deck sinking. air temps getting right to the point where we could see some of the snow sticking out there. dulles, winchester, baltimore, one above freezing. the eastern shore you're right at that freezing point. you have to watch out, especially the elevated bridge surfaces. that's where we're likely to see snow sticking. 40 in the inner harbor. 37 in cambridge. satellite radar showing the back side will be a short event. it's poor timing in terms of all the monday evening traffic. this will continue to push, ending from west to east

i suspect naptown annapolis could have a coating and kent island and eastern shore and if it didn't stick on the roads or doesn't lock like it stuck, well, maybe -- look like it stuck, well, maybe the roads were too warm. there could be icy spots at this pulled out of here. next disturbance producing just flurries but looks like that one is losing its grip and punch and we will break the cloud up heading through this morning. temperatures now 29 here in baltimore and hovering around freezing for all of us. and we are bouncing off the bottom. it's warmer than yesterday. we will have sun today and we will have dry weather excuse me through tomorrow. and mild stuff. check this out. our temperatures will be in response to the wind, the wind themselves brought in the cold air. the wind will shift to the south. and that's what is going to warm us up. so we stayed below freezing yesterday with a high of 31. and we will be back in the 50s tomorrow. we promised you would get there and that will stay in the 50s to start off the weekend as well. so early light snow or flurries i should adjust that.
