prout is giving an account of the assault and kimberly bookman has her story. >> reporter: chessy prout is now 17 entering her statement she is speaking publicly now because she is not ashamed about what happened and hopes to inspire other victims to come forward and stand up. >> although it was scary and although it was pretty difficult i went be where i am today without having been able to speak up for myself during that time. >> reporter: for the first time publicly 17-year-old chessy prout sits down with satisfy ansa guthrie to talk about her 2014 encounter with owen la brie and the trial that >> i question was why were you so hazy during that period? i looked at the defense attorney and in disbelief and said, i was raped. >> reporter: it happened two years ago, attending the st. paul's prep school in new hampshire. prout went on a date and it ended in charges of rape but the popular student was not convicted of rape. >> they said they didn't and that frustrated me along because he definitely did do it knowingly. >> reporter: prout left st. pauls and her family filed a civil lawsuit

kimberly bookman live on the >> reporter: what we know is that three teens were stabbed here in their own new bedford neighborhood. police telling us that a 15-year-old boy tried to run home for help but collapsed near his home and died. now this all began when a group fight broke out right before 6:30 this evening. police were called to the area of middle and chancery streets. the temp landing housing projects. they found the 15-year-old dead. they also found a 22-year-old man with life threatening injuries and 16-year-old boy the 15-year-old was treated at st. lukes and has been released. the 22-year-old was transferred from st. lukes to rhode island hospital and is expected to be okay. right now police are not releasing the name of that 15-year-old victim. they are still trying to notify his family. as you said, this is a very active investigation at this time. there is no motive that's been revealed. no arrests made. but police say there is surveillance video from the area and they are reviewing that and they are hoping to have more information very soon. for now reporting live in
