i'm kris sanchez. >> i'm scott mcgrewen right to valentine. first we need to take a look outside where across the bay area it's fabulous. we could see more record heat. but enjoy while it lasts. meteorologist kari hall big changes ahead today last day of near-record temperatures. sunol, high clouds across the sky, that will filter sunshine later today as clouds increase. now looking at these temperatures, it is really starting to warm up out there in san carlos, napa at 66 degrees. 68 degrees in san jose. already at 71 degrees in livermore. checking out some records today, the record in livermore is 78 degrees, set back in 1977. and looks like we could go above that as we go into this afternoon expecting it to at least tie that or get a degree or two above. oakland, high of 80 today. when the record is 73 degrees. santa rosa, also up to 80, looking at record set in 2007 of 79 degrees. after today we will have a big cold front moving through and some rain. we'll talk about that time line coming up in the next microclimate forecast. >> weather c

. >> and i'm kris sanchez. we begin with those new details on that part of the bay bridge. caltrans says damage to the yerba buena tunnel is worse than thought. bob redell is live in oakland. bob, the big concern is falling concrete as we've seen in weeks past. >> reporter: correct. caltrans just confirmed to us within the past 30 minutes that its agency did find 13 more problem spots on both sides of the walls in the yerba buena tunnel. these are concrete spots that indicated corrosion and needed to be replaced. now, this comes after a large 13 x 12 inch chunk of concrete fell from the wall and hit liz g gusten's car. the collision popped her tire and caused more than $3,000 worth of damage to her car. february 1st, caltran workers tapped the walls of the tunnel with a hammer to see if any more spots rang hollow. workers found 13 locations i mentioned that had been loosened from the rebar by moisture and rainwater and they range in size from a few inches to a few feet. all of those pieces have been removed. tomorrow caltrans will meet with the federal highway administratio
