let's go back to abc 7 news reporter lisa aminu gulezian. she's live at the tanforan mall with the witnesses and authorities. lisa? >> reporter: dan, a lot of the officers have cleared out of this parking lot. that's because they're inside of the mall at this moment. they are checking the mall going store to store, room to room for people who are still hiegd, people who don't know it's safe to come out at this point. so that's what they're doing right now, trying to also at the same time gather evidence, gather witness statements, anything they can from inside of the mall. there was a very large police presence outside where there were officers from chp, san francisco police, menlo park police and from the county that were here helping with all the witnesses, all the people that were running out of here just a few hours ago. and just a short time ago in fact the jsee store, the lockdown was lifted from there. there were people, patrons in that store for 30 to 40 minutes. they were m there not knowing why they were inside of the jcpenney's. a
