this is fox5 local news at six. >> a d.c.health department is out collecting new sample ms to test for zika and west niel virus after an initial batch of testing came under fire when the d.c. lab made a mistake. matt ackland is out in front of the department of forensic sciences in northwest with more. >>reporter: hi, shawn, you'll remember a couple of months ago so many people were concerned over 400 people because they were originally tested and they tested negative for the zika virus and then the people here at the d.c. lab said, it oh, there's a problem here, we need to retest these samples. so the people simply didn't know what had happened, but now we are finally getting the final test results and we have them for you. so 423 people had to be retested. those are samples. out of those 394 came back negative. three came back positive for the zika virus and then there were 26 that were inconclusive. let's take you to video. the mack lisa test was reauthorized by federal oversight, but the department is continuing a self-su
