got to rub the sleep out of your eye, we're going to try to brighten it up right notice christina loren is in this morning. how are you? >> i'm great, thanks for asking. it was a little heart to get up this morning with that time change. it's going to be dark out there for quire morning commute. the sun will rise this morning at 7:30. that is the coolest point of the day right around sunrise, these temperatures are slated to drop off even more so. we're at 52 degrees at san carlos. that means you probably want to dress in layers for today. gorgeous finish coming your way with temperatures mostly in the mid to upper 70s. the weather story of the day is low clods to start, clearing between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., even in san francisco, just a few patchy clouds left over, and then highs today 10 to 15 degrees above average. low 60s by lunchtime. we'll round out the day in the, that will be the story for tomorrow as well, and then changes moving in quickly. widespread showers moving into the bay area. i'll talk about where we'll see the showers first, how long they'll last and how much we

check with meteorologist christina loren. >> 11:47.really comfortable out there. you want to grab a jacket, cover up if you're headed outdoors because it's chilly and we have a windchill factor. 61 degrees in oakland. temperatures are going to feel cooler than their true numbers. that's because we have this wind out there. look at this. wind is definitely picking up. we are expecting gusty conditions tonight, and as you know, we have a lot of trees that have had to deal with three-plus years of drought here, so i wouldn't be shocked to see a couple limbs go down. we could see power outages as the wind intensifies. we stop the clock at 4:00 and you can see up and down the coast, we're expecting gusty wind. you'll notice on the key 30 to 40-mile-per-hour wind on the way. between about 4:00 and 10:00 p.m., and then by tomorrow afternoon, winds will start to relax a little bit. but we're going to have to get through at least 12 maybe 15 hours worth of whipping wind in the bay area. keep that in mind if you live in the higher elevations or

we are according to christina loren, still in the grips of winter. but christina, a few more days of this and we have spring coming. >> it's got our grip on us. right. you know what, we have spring just around the corner. we had a very spring-like weekend. things are changing already out there. back to winter for a couple days. area of low pressure right on top of the bay area jet stream. for us, that means a few light showers as of today. in fact, i've had to activate the doppler at this very hour just to show you that. and i want to give you an idea of what's going on. i get to show you a little science. this is an unusual pattern for us. we have the jet stream on top of the bay area. the jet stream is the conveyor belt that carries areas of low pressure from west to east across this great nation. now, as we head throughout the day today, a few light showers definitely. fair game at the immediate coast. you have the best chance for that. also areas to the north of highway 92. a little shower activity as we head throughout this afternoon which is gr
