reporter: good morning to you, lynette. in addition to the fog we've been following two traffic issues all morning. first the incident on i-95 just to update those of you who are just tuning in, just waking up this morning, had an overnight tractor-trailer accident on northbound i-95 in hartford county. the tractor-trailer then burst into flames. they have put the fire out, the fire has been extinguished, but we're still dealing with uprighting this tractor-trailer and getting it off the northbound lanes of i-95. right now in maryland 543, traffic is being diverted to northbound 95. in the meantime, we're dealing with just foggy conditions for the most part if you're traveling around the city especially. here's oo look at 95 right at maryland 152. no problems right here, especially traveling southbound. 695 at the bw parkway, also no reported troubles for those of you making the drive on the west side of the beltway. now, as we mentioned, fire gutted most of this downtown baltimore business early this morning. now, for thos

let's get a check on the weather with lynette. >> all right. are finally starting to feel the colder air move into the picture now. 26 degrees in to york. 29 hagerstown and freezing degree mark down to frederick and 39 degrees in baltimore. so we are out of the 40s but we have the wind this morning at a northwest at about 5 to 15 miles an hour so we are really feeling a little bit chillier now so we are feeling more like at the freezing mark into baltimore right around 33 degrees. 35 in easton and 34 in dc so you know you need to dress for these temperatures this morning. we have high pressure building in this area for the morning and afternoon and giving us plenty of sunshine. that color drier air filtering in. and future trend is going to be bringing a little bit of change to the forecast as we go into tomorrow. so starting things out pretty good tomorrow. nice and dry but as we work into lunchtime yes, we have the chance for some showers in the forecast for us. we are looking at the fact that another round will be moving in here as we go thr

and let's talk about the weather and get to meteorologist lynette charles. >> good morning. yes, we have been monitoring the situation. so i have the radar up right now. and you can see some of the boxes here. these are tornado watches and this threat is pushing off toward the east. so we have tornado watch proportions kentucky and also in to tech see-- tennessee and illinois. we are looking at another tornado warning across the area. so this active weather severe weather will continue through the morning and this after --the good factor is we won't be involved in the severe weather throughout the day. once again, here at line of thunderstorms that sparked everything this morning. and it is pushing off toward the east. we have a vast storm system we are dealing with but the part we are going to go in on is mainly rain and you can see the rain back off toward the west. this will move in as we go later into the morning hours and maybe around 10 we will start to see some of the rain and feel the rain falling from the sky. but once again, for us, no type of severe weather. maybe

reporter: good morning, lynette. you are right, a lot of fog out there, especially downtown right now and crossing the chesapeake bay bridge. we'll get to some live shots in just a moment. first want to update you on two situations on the roadways. first that fire we mentioned in the city, overnight business fire, lafayette and dukeland. city police now say they have shut down lafayette and ash burton for an investigation as well. so expect slow traffic in that area. now, traveling northbound on i- 95 through hartford county, we're looking pretty good here at maryland 152, but once you get to 543, police are still diverting traffic as northbound lanes are still closed. we're saying route 40 or route 7 as a good alternate. hopefully they'll be outta there soon with that overnight tractor-trailer incident. and a live look at foggy conditions, i-95 at i-395 heading into downtown. also if you're traveling on u.s. 50 trying to cross that bay bridge, very foggy, dense fog out there, so be aware of reduced visibilities. meg

now over to meteorologist lynette charles. >> we look to maryland's most powerful radar and it looks active out there this morning. but you know, we are dealing with not so much and in manchester we have a mixture here but after talking to walter he says that he nothing touching the ground and the air is too dry. going towards the east, around rising sun port deposit in elkton once again, spoke to pam on facebook and she said nothing is happening around cecil county so thanks for that information again. that air is too dry to be reaching the ground and evaporating before it gets there many we pulled out as we slide down across the eastern shore and we look like rain burks not a lot. maybe a couple sprinkles all in all we will pretty much stay dry through the morning couple flurries and couple sprinkles temperatures above the freezing degree point and to chestertown coming in around 34 degrees. and that's why we are seeing that we do have the rain across the eastern shore and that will be the scenario even as we go into the afternoon for today. maybe a couple off and on showers but no
