. >> melanie alnwick joins us live from the school board headquarters in upper marlboro.ood morning. >> reporter: good morning. it's been a controversial year for the prince george's county school board and the school system in general. now, dr. anderson was that one of four board members appointed by county executive rushern baker and she's the only one who did not take a public position when four board members made those claims of widespread fraud and grade fixing and the other nine then turned on those other four and called claims appalling. now, we also know based on dr. anderson's resignation letter she says that there is no coherent educational plan, no thoughtful budget to support the needs of low performing students and not enough independence to make board decisions. now, dr. anderson writes further that the board is dysfunctional because in her opinion too many members are compromised or have conflicts of interest. she said she was a supporter of county executive rushern baker who appointed her in 2013 but she's clearly frustrated by the current dynamics. execut

this is 55-year-old adriano lombre of upper marlboro. midnight when an officer happened to drive up on his white mercury grand marquis that was parked in the middle of the travel lines on the outer loop he had been shot several times. police say his car had been shot up and there were shell casings on the roadway. police say with it being a holiday weekend, that time of night when lombre was shot should have been pretty busy on the beltway. they believe there are witnesses. however they say no one so far has called to report anything. meanwhile, anyone w who knew lombre is in shock. >> he was a great neighbor. he was a great neighbor. i mean, you know, like i say, we been here for years and him and i shared keeping our vehicles clean and just good conversation, you know, great guy, good worker, hard worker, hard working guy, yeah, very, very sad at this point in time. >> reporter: lombre's daughter told us that he had friends over that night and he had driven many of them home, saying that he was actually on his way back from d.c. when h
