michael finney here to answer questions. first up e-mail, here is a great question. is it illegal for people to throw a small baggie with rocks in it on the driveway of your home? >> don't you hate these things? does anybody buy anything that comes on a plastic bag with three or four? you've seen the plastic bags, they can drive by and chunk them out a car window. city by city, there aren't national or state rules. every city decides. it is considered a handbill. newspapers do not fall under this provision. so when you get the extra newspaper, a lot of times, they are allowed to do that. if you post a notice on your house under most locations it's got to be at least eight inches square and say no handbills, they aren't allowed to do that but i don't know how they would see that driving by. >> it's really annoying. a very generous person said where can i donate prom dresses? >> the princess project. find them at princess project.org. they are all a over california and down in san diego and give dresses to low income girls, so they can go to the prom and look fabulous.

. >> michael finney has been looking into this and he's here with the story. >> it shows us how important our dogs are. senator feinstein is calling on the fda to launch an investigation into purina's beneful kibble. the request comes a week after a lawsuit filed by a bay area man claimed thousands of dogs were becoming ill and dying after eating the products. the senators also called for an immediate update of fda guidelines that would prevent contamination of dog food. the lawsuit alleges a toxic substance known to be lethal to animals. it can cause internal bleeding and other serious health issues. purina calls the lawsuit without merit. general motors is dramatically reduceing the warranty coverage on its chevrolet and gmc cars. gm will cut its free maintenance program by half. the company will now cover two service visits in 24 months instead of four. they also reduced their car warranties to cover five years or 60,000 miles. that's down from five years or 100,000 miles. the warranties have not been a big selling point, so why bother. customer care -- customers care more about the qu
