first woman elected mayor of oakland. the first asian elected mayor of oakland. first asian woman elected mayor of a major city in this country. she is proud of that. we are all proud of that. you know a lot about her story. you know she is a champion for youth, for schools, and becoming a champion for economic development in our city. you know some of the difficulties she has faced. some of them are old -- crime, problems with our schools. some of them are new and not necessarily expected like the loss of redevelopment funds, and occupy oakland. and she has had successes. she brought a great new administrative team to this city with our city administrator, under fire chief, the police chief, and developing really strong leadership for our city. she has also made some mistakes, and she has had the courage to acknowledge them, which is not easy for any of us. i know it is not for me, and she gets credit for that. the solutions to occupy oakland are not easy, and none of us can spell them out, but i do think that all of us, whatever we think about the occupied -- o

among them, oakland she is expected to address the occupy oakland issues. tonight's address is scheduled to begin here at city hall at 7:00 p.m.. >>pam: there are fewer drugs on the streets of east palo alto and menlo park. that is after the fbi and local agencies cracked down on a group of individuals they say supply drugs to a number of gangs. it is a part of a two-year investigation. >> search warrants were served in four different counties. nearly 30 people were arrested. large quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine is, weapons and money were seized. the 26 people arrested were charged with multiple felonies including secession of a controlled substance with intent to convert stashed-distribute. >>pam: the san francisco sheriff accused of domestic violence will not be allowed to visit his young son. a judge ruled that mirkirimi can see his son for two hours on each weekday and for six hours of the weekend. his wife spoke out calling today a good date. a stay away or prevented mirkirimi from having contact with his wife handed that does remain in effect.

been talking to oakland police this morning and a lot of detectives still here at the oakland police department working this morning. trying to get to the bottom of all of these cases. about 24 hours it started after 3:00 yesterday morning with a person suffering minor injuries after a shooting on 25th avenue and east tenth. the victim was extremely lucky but that was just the beginning. just before 10:00 there was another shooting. this one on 89th and d-street. in that case it was a drive by shooting and an adult man was killed after a car with three males and one female drove by and opened fire. we are also told another victim was heard we are not sure of his condition. around 6:15 last night more shots. this time on the 1200 block of 72nd avenue. an adult man was shot by two adults driving by. he survived that shooting. police told ktvu he was shot in the stomach. and then another killing just before 8:45 last night. this one on the 800 block of 26th street. the victim shot multiple times after a hail of bullet there is. the suspect was seen running from that scene. again a littl

katie marzullo is live at the oakland police department. >> reporter: yesterday afternoon folks in oakland probably thought they heard as much gunfire as they needed for one day then there was more. there are at least 10 victims possibly an 11th. the most recent happened this morning around 1:00, a man was shot he was in his 40s shot at 83rd and international he was taken to the hospital in critical and in surgery at this hour. at the scene police did arrest a suspect. sunday afternoon was the big shootout at adeline between 32nd and 34th street, several shot and wounded fully automatic weapon was involved. nobody was killed. seven people did go to the hospital with gunshot injuries. two other separate shootings sunday one in the morning 5:30 and another sunday afternoon after the main shootout. if you have been keeping count that makes 10 victims and there might be an 11th. we are investigating reports of gunfire at west act arthur this morning. no word if -- word if this is connected or what the motive might have been. katie marzullo, abc7 news. >>> san jose police investigating that cit
