last night tragedy in thousand oaks.ery active here, nine hours after that mass shooting here. what was supposed to be a night of dancing and fun quickly turned into horror after a gunman opened fire inside the borderline bar and grill. twelve people were killed in that nightclub that is about three blocks away, it is western themed. last night as in every wednesday night, it was college night. this all happened just after 11:15 last night. the sheriff said that gunman was identified as ian david long. he walked up to the nightclub, he shot a security guard, and then he made his way inside and shot and killed 11 other people inside. and then three minutes later, after 911 operators received multiple calls of the shooting, a sergeant with the ventura county sheriff's office and a chp officer arrived on the scene. they said that sergeant went inside. he heard gunfire and he confronted the gunman. the gunman was shot multiple times. he was transported to the hospital and he later died. in ventura county, they will transport
