yes, we're at ocean beach. this rescue happened just hoursing a just offshore from where we're standing. victims saying that things got dicey very, very quickly and certainly they're very glad the coast guard came to their aid. they are doing well this morning. we want to show you video from the scene moments after the three victims were brought to shore in sausalito. three men came down for a crab fishing trip. there weren't any serious injuries in this. one man taken to marin general hospital with possible hypothermia and injured knee. the other two deemed just fine. they had some scary moments. one of the vicinity ims describes what happened. >> we just rolled, the gear shifted on the deck and the pilot took a roll. boat went over and wouldn't come back. >> we just got a call three people went in the water clinging to the hull somewhere out of the golden gate bridge. we launched our vessels and searched that location and found a boat capsized with the stern facing up. quick search of the area and saw that th

abc7's amy hollyfield is live at ocean beach with the story. amy?> kristen, the fishermen are okay. check out what is left of their boat. mostly submerged, you can just see the tail end of it here at ocean beach. the coast guard is now trying to figure out how to get to it. and recover what they can off of it. it's not as easy as you might think. the fishermen are from arcada. they think the boat had a shift -- a load that shifted about 12:40 this morning and that's why it capsized. it had 270 crab pots on board. 80 of them were full. so they think that the load shifted. that is why it threw everything offbalance. why they ended up in the water. they were well prepared. when the coast guard found them, they were all okay. >> they had survival suits and they had a life raft. not sure if it automatically deployed or they deployed it themselves but they are lucky they had it. >> the fishermen said it happened very fast. they're now resting and waiting for the wife of one of the men to come and get them. i want to show you a live picture again of the bo

usually ocean beach is covered in fog. it's fun to see a lot of people here. >> reporter: this is 4-month-old amina's first beach day. >> we saw it was 101 degrees in heyward. we were like we're definitely going to the beach. >> reporter: the southbound lanes of the great highway are closed for sand removal. the water is crowded too. lifeguards are warning beachgoers to stay close to shore to avoid the dangerous rip currents. a shark warning is in effect at stinson beach. an offduty lifeguard captured video of a 10-foot great white shark near the breakers. beach goers dig into the hot weather, many are leaving windows open at home. >> i notice that since we moved out here, there hasn't been too many places that we lived that have had air conditioning, so we had to. >> an open window is an open invitation for burglars. >> if you need to leave it open for ventilation, leave it locked in a 1/4 inch position. it makes it difficult for burglars to get in the house. >> smog levels will be higher than what we're used to. the bay

the wind blows, it comes from the ocean beach. because the sand is moving, you can see evidence along this side of the hill in 1989. the vibrations in accelerated. you have a significant amount of movement to the point that the homes that uc had very severe damage for two blocks. we recognized what the problem was at the time, it was a matter of loose sand on a very steep slope. thank you for the effort. we were able to get federal funding and design which you see in the upper walls. the lower walls was actually billed as part of the wpa. the upper wall was built in 1991-'92. this is a concrete wall and it has rocked going through the wall that extends the distance of 80 feet beyond the wall. the next earthquake occurs, the wall is designed to resist and the movement of the sand and allowed it to move down hill. this is a classic example of the creek and degree flow and exists all the way the area. we might see the other evidence. we have done nothing to improve the quality and the strength of the dam. >> one of the things that ha
