parts of colorado, back into oklahoma, into arkansas, parts of the tennessee river valley, even up into the ohioiver valley. we can't rule out a few storms here. winds over 60 miles an hour, and in some cases over 75 miles an hour, especially into parts of colorado and the panhandle. isolated tornados can never be ruled out. stray storms through the ohio valley but random throughout oklahoma and arkansas. see how it bows out? that's how you know it's a wind storm. the ohio valley into the lower mississippi river valley overnight into the morning and it pushes into the carolinas, starting to weaken, but redeveloping another mass of storms across the central plains around 5:00 sunday morning and that pushes into the tennessee valley and into the southeast. we'll have to watch that closely. the heat still on across the southwest. in some cases it's pushing record heat. some places are feeling like 115 degrees like phoenix. victor and erica, we still have heat advisories in place. >> it is hot out there, that's for sure. britley, thank you. >>> the chaotic days of the trump administration is the foc

this happens in places that are critical to supply chains, industrial midwest, ohio valley, the lakesegion, the pfizer plant becomes critical and important for the economy. flooding in vermont, you say a massive pfizer plant taken off line. neil: that's important but let me get your sense of the markets in the aggregate. that it's put together ninth straight day. less follow-up with the s&p and the nasdaq about what is going on? are we getting ahead of ourselves. where are you on this? >> that's the story. we came into this with pessimistic expectations. massive inflation. things are not as bad as they thought they would be but it led to this outperformance of growth versus value. a very narrow market. everyone knows it's not sustainable. can't have a handful of names leading the market so you're getting the everything else market. a day like today the dow really strong, energy, financials, they haven't participated with the excitement around artificial intelligence, stocks like netflix left behind. that's the narrative for this year going forward for the second part of the year. infl

central plains and back into the ohio valley, finally starting to cool down a little bit as we noticeare ramping up and the cold front moving through. but there are excessive heat warnings in parts of arizona where it feels like upwards of 115 degrees. heat advisories in new mexico as well. back up into the northeast, heat indices reaching up nearly 100 degrees where heat index values are of course what it really feels like instead of the actual temperatures. we have advisories in place there too. records are a possibility in places like rochester where temperatures are reaching nearly 90. on average we should be in the mid-70s. right down into florida, where it feels like factors of 70 plus, well over 100 degrees like naples and back into ft. myers. severe storms a possibility here and that of course fueling the storms. still thunderstorm watches in places for the panhandle of texas back into parts of oklahoma and those will likely expire within the hour. but ramping back up again especially through the afternoon and into the evening hours. watching places like eastern colorado where

parts of the great lakes, ohio valley into the mid-atlantic and 34 million people are at risk today. winds gusting at over 60 miles per hour. looking at the chance for hail. a low tornado threat but it's not zero. especially along the o's coast from d.c., richmond, charlotte, we're looking at the likeliest chance for strong storms. in addition to that, we could see heavy downpours. like that sponge just being squeezed out on a summer day. over 3 inches in some spots. that's today. throughout tomorrow, this is july 4th. still 14 million people at risk. kind of the same scenario. winds gusting over 60 miles per hour. notice how this grows. we're looking at a big area here from minneapolis to sioux falls down to denver. sell na, also the chance for really strong thunderstorms. that's the first part of the story. then we have the ongoing heat we've been talking about for days, weeks. 36 million people impacted. the southwest especially. we're going the feel like 115 in some spots. air temperatures will be 115 in some spots. portland, medford. the pacific northwest, that's going to take o

if you're in the interior, ohio valley in to the plains, it will feel like you're in the triple digitsome. these are temperatures here in the big apple, new york city, we haven't felt since august 10 of 2021. so it's been a considerable amount of time since we felt temperatures like this, since we've had excessive heat warning. looking at new york city. this stretch goes from thursday, friday, saturday. by sunday, we get a cold front that comes in. brings some relief for the northeast. we'll be dipping back in the mid 80s. look at the rest of the country. it's bottled up. this heat continues. we're seeing all time streaks be -- continue to be broken. phoenix, 110 plus for three straight weeks. tucson, arizona has not seen temperatures below in the afternoon for 40 days straight. so neil, not only is it pushing to kansas city and st. louis, but we're seeing the longevity of the heat wave continue to expand in areas like the desert southwest. >> neil: just remarkable. thanks, steve bender following all of that. also following a hearing going on on artificial intelligence. i still think i

hoping to fuel some of these storms alongside that boundary from the midwest and into the plains and ohio valley. right up into new england today, we have the threat of severe weather. that front stalled now, but we'll slide south and bring in the threat. we're highlighted in yellow. . parts of boston and colorado we're highlighted in yellow. winds are one of our bigger concern. they can't be ruled out either. tornado threats more concentrated towards philadelphia and new york and long island. boston may tap into that as well. just be weather aware. take a look at the time frame. this morning the severe storms finally wound down a bit. maybe a few stronger storms. but that front pushes over towards new england. we're watching the threat of stronger storms around anywhere 5 to about 8:00 into the evening when they ramp up. and then through the overnight hours as well. the heat helping to fuel some of the storms. we're under excessive heat warnings. and washington, d.c., back to phoenix, arizona, temperatures are climbing well above normal. much of the country well above normal for that matter. we

you've still got showers and thunderstorms across the ohio valley, another cluster to the west of dallasally as we go into the afternoon and continue into the evening hours, strong to severe thunderstorms are possible. we're talking damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes. the best chance is really going to be across this area here, st. louis, louisville through paducah, kentucky. basically from eastern kansas through eastern pennsylvania has potential for severe thunderstorms, as well as that secondary spot located in western texas. now, we have that ongoing band now, but as we progress into the afternoon and evening hours, more of that is going to develop along the back side and begin to spread farther east into the mid-atlantic and eventually into the northeast. we also will have the potential for pop-up showers and thunderstorms across the southeast, too, so any travel plans there could end up incurring some delays. heat is going to be another big story. you've got areas across the southeast dealing with excessive heat warnings and heat advisories, and in the western it is

finally, we have had a cold front run through the ohio valley and northeast. it brought severe weather yesterday. it did do us some good. it took our temperatures down into the 70s for sunday in chicago and boston, same for you. we are staying in the 70s into the upcoming workweek. there's hope for the upcoming days ahead. unfortunately, across the southwest, sunday and into monday, temperatures are still well above normal by at least five degrees. there is hope in the future. monday and tuesday, seeing numbers taper back a bit. sunday here in phoenix, 111 degrees. the problem with that is now we are adding to the consecutive days where our temperatures have been over 100. 30 turns to 31. monday into tuesday, starting to see relief thanks to the monsoonal rains setting up. we will top out at 107 monday, 106 on tuesday which is where we should be. it doesn't last long. we clear out the skies for phoenix and right back up to 115 degrees by the time we get into the weekend. that heat dome, that area of high pressure where it's trapping all that warm, moist ocean
